Trail Description

NOTE E AVVERTENZE:

Very very scenic route and pedaled, which runs primarily on dirt tracks and roads of the field, and along which keep us company constantly in the distance, the contours of the Siena Cathedral and the Torre del Mangia. Frequent passing in the vicinity of isolated farms and villages abandoned. Short stretches of asphalt siding especially near urban centers. Significant transit in the vicinity of the Site Transitoire (see photo) and the Grange of Cuna, an ancient fortified farmhouse of medieval origin, currently under renovation. Suggestive final goal of our journey is the Hill of the Battle of Monteaperti, of which he also wrote the great Dante Alighieri in the X canto of the Inferno.
NOTES AND WARNINGS:
- For many traits from the bottom clay, the path is to be avoided in rainy periods of the year
- Intended track clockwise
- Although the route does not present technical difficulties, I suggest you deal with a good athletic training, as Total km and the ups and downs (typical of this region) to go, they are not few.
