Von Grainau aus geht es Richtung Garmisch. Hier nach Wahl durch den Ort fahren und weiter nach Burgrain und Farchant . In Frchant Richtung Sportplatz fahren. Am Sportplatz dann nach rechts über das Weidegitter Richtung Oberau. In Oberau gleich rechts über die Sieben Quellen nach Eschenlohe. Bis zur Loiasachbrücke geradeaus, dann rechts halten und gleih wieder links Richtung Ohlstadt bis zur Hauptverkehrstrasse fahren. Hier wieder rechts abbiegen und dem Straßenverlauf bis zur Straße mit dem Namen Hauptstrasse folgen und hier wieder rechts abbiegen und dem Straßenverlauf folgen bis zur Hagrainstraße. und weiter stets in Richtung „Kreutalm/Glentleiten“. Der Ausschilderung folgend radeln wir zunächst noch auf einer Asphaltstraße, welche später in einen steilen Pflasterweg übergeht, bergauf bis zum höchsten Punkt. Oben angekommen genießen wir die schöne Aussicht in das weite Loisachtal. Ab hier bergab, anschließend links abbiegen und an der nächsten Abzweigung nach rechts, führt uns der weitere Weg hinunter nach „Schlehdorf“ und zum „Kochelsee“. In „Schlehdorf“ angekommen halten wir uns wieder rechts zum Ortsteil „Raut“. Dort verlassen wir den See um in Richtung „Felsenweg / Herzogstand“ zu fahren. Im weiteren Verlauf nicht mehr der Felsenweg-Beschilderung folgen, sondern in Richtung „Herzogstand“ bleiben. Der Asphaltweg geht in Schotter über und führt uns bald an der ehemaligen Rennrodelbahn vorbei, bergauf zu einer Wegegabelung Richtung „Höhenweg“. Dort zweigen wir entsprechend links ab und folgen diesem Weg bergab, (alle Abzweigungen liegen lassen) bis zum Kraftwerk „Walchensee“. Am Ende des Werkgeländes stoßen wir nun auf die B 11, von dort folgen wir der „Kesselbergstraße“ nach rechts, die uns in einigen Serpentinen zum Sattel (800 m) hoch über dem „Kochelsee“ und nach einer kurzen Abfahrt zum bereits sichtbaren „Walchensee“ führt. Man kann auch nach ca. 100 m auf der B 11 (nach der Brücke), rechts haltend, auch der Beschilderung der alten „Kesselbergstraße“ folgen. Diese Variante ist allerdings teilweise sehr steil und technisch anspruchsvoll. In „Urfeld“ verlassen wir direkt nach der Abfahrt die B 11 nach links und fahren am Ufer entlang Richtung „Jachenau / Sachenbach“. Der Uferstraße folgend, durch die Bauernhöfe von „Sachenbach“ und auf dem Schotterweg weiter bis „Niedernach“. Nun die Mautstraße nach rechts befahren, immer am Ufer des Walchensee entlang bis „Einsiedl“. Nach dem Mauthäuschen rechts auf die B11 abbiegen und nach der Brücke gleich links auf den Fahrradweg Richtung Wallgau abbiegen. In Wallgau nach der Information die zweite Straße nach rechts nehmen und dem Stra0enverlauf Richtung Felder folgen. Anschließend Richtung Krün weiterfahren bis der Barmsee erreicht wird. Hier nach einer kurzen Abfahrt gleich links abbiegen (Einmündung schwer zu sehen). Anschließend weiter bis zum Hotel Barmsee. Von hier aus Richtung B2 fahren und dem Fahrradweg Richtung Garmisch und anschließend wieder Richtung Grainau folgen. Strecke wurde nicht mit GPS sondern mit Hilfe von Magic Maps Tour Explorer nachgezeichnet.
