Zusammenfassung: 1 Geisterdorf 1 „Ordensburg“ 1x 10km Downhill 5 Staumauern 4 Stauseen herrliche Aussichten Los gehts in Schmidt mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht auf den Rursee (Hubertushöhe). Hier fahren wir den Singletrail runter zum Rursee und nach Schwammenauel. Den Staudamm überqueren wir, um dahinter den Teerweg runter zum Heimbacher Stausee zu nehmen. Vorsicht, hier kommt einem schon mal das Bähnchen entgegen, welches Touristen von Heimbach hoch nach Schwammenauel bringt. Kurz vor Heimbach steigen wir in den Trail ein, rauf nach Mariawald. Hinter Mariawald nehmen wir den Trail parallel zur Straße und dann später den gut ausgebauten Downhill runter zum Urftsee. Da die Fußgängerbrücke noch nicht fertig gestellt ist (Stand 7/09), fahren wir entlang des Ufers zur Urfttalsperre und gönnen uns eine Pause. Hinter der Staumauer fahren wir hoch zum Geisterort Wollseifen und zur ehem. Ordensburg Vogelsang und bilden uns etwas weiter. Danach folgen wir für ca. 10km der einsamen, alten Panzerstraße und dann noch einige km der Bundesstraße. Das lohnt sich aber, denn dahinter finden wir den Einstieg in den über 10km langen Downhill runter nach Einruhr. Vorsicht, wer bis hierhin noch nicht in die Eifel verliebt ist, ab diesem Trail ist es dann soweit :-) Entlang des Ufers folgen wir dem Obersee, anschließend dem Rursee. Hinter Woffelsbach steigen wir in den strammen Uphill nach Schmidt ein. Eine Tagestour, die wir bei strahlendem Sommerwetter gefahren sind. Wir waren begeistert!!! Summary: 1 1 ghost village "Order Castle" 1x 10km downhill 5 dams 4 reservoirs magnificent views Here we go in Schmidt with a beautiful view of the Rur Lake (Hubertushoehe). Here we take the single trail down to the Rur Lake and after Schwammenauel. The dam we cross to behind to take the tarmac path down to Heimbach reservoir. Beware, here comes one before the little train against which tourists from Heimbach brings high to Schwammenauel. Shortly before Heimbach we go into the trail, up to Maria forest. Behind Mariawald we take the trail parallel to the road and then later the well-built downhill down to Urftsee. Since the pedestrian bridge is not finished yet (as of 7.9), we drive along the shore to Urfttalsperre and give us a break. Behind the dam, we drive up to the ghost town and former Wollseifen. Ordensburg Vogelsang and make some us. After that we follow for approx 10km of secluded, old tank road and then a few km of the highway. But it's worth it, because behind it we find the entry in the over 10 km long downhill down to Einruhr. Caution, who is not in love up here in the Eifel, on this trail, it is come:-) along the shore, we follow the upper lake, then the Rur Lake. Behind Woffelsbach we go into the tight Uphill by Schmidt. A day trip that we took in glorious summer weather. We were thrilled !!! I would appreciate comments. Have fun!
