Trail Description
Am 20.06.2009 in Sölden mit der Gaislachkogelbahn zur Mittelstation auf 2186 m zur Mittelstation hoch gefahren. Rechter Hand gibt es eine Asphaltstrasse (ca. 12 km Länge) und linker Hand einen Schotterweg (ca. 10 km Länge) für den Downhill. Wer nach unten heizen will, nimmt die Aspahltstrasse. Wir haben uns für den geländigen Schotterweg entschieden. Der Weg ist die ersten beiden Drittel gut zu fahren. Danch heißt es wohl für die meisten Schieben und Tragen. Dieser Teil des Weges wird dann ziemlich steil und felsig. Wir hatten am Vortag Regen der weiche Untergrund erschwerte den Abstieg entsprechend. Die Umgebung ist insgesamt sehr schön anzusehen, obwohl wir starke Bewölkung hatten und ein kalter Nordwind durchs gesamte Tal zog. Die Schiebe- und Tragestrecke war landschaftlich sehr schön, viele Bäume, herabstürzende Wildbäche und wilder Bewuchs. In Bodenegg erreicht man nach dem Downhill die Asphaltstrasse die zurück nach Sölden zum Ausgangspunkt führt.

On 20/06/2009 moved up in Sölden with the Gaislachkogelbahn the middle station at 2186 m to the central station. Right hand there is a paved road (about 12 km in length) and the left a dirt road (about 10 km in length) for the downhill. Who wants to burn down, takes the Aspahltstrasse. We opted for the geländigen gravel. The trail is the first two-thirds to go well. Trashed it means well for the most pushing and carrying. This part of the trail is then fairly steep and rocky. We had rain the day before the soft ground made it difficult to descend accordingly. The environment is overall very nice to look at, even though we had heavy cloud cover and pulled out a cold north wind through the entire valley. The pushing and carrying route was very scenic, lots of trees, cascading streams and wild vegetation. In Bodenegg can be reached after the downhill paved road back to Sölden to the starting point.
