Trail Description

Very fit tour beginning with a technically challenging singletrack (Up & amp; Down) then at the Ötztal Ache along in its course to the Venter Ache. After that exchange on tarmac with ever-increasing infrastructure according to Holy Cross and on to Vent. In between we are well off the road to good mobile Forestry and meadow paths go. Dangers we are this trail on 21/06/2009. There were many not thawed snow boards that are slid down as avalanches in winter the slopes ... The rise of the Rofenhöfe is still to cope with about 100 well-hm. There is a guest house. If you want to strengthen with a hearty bacon dumpling soup for the upcoming downhill here. The Rofenhöfe are the highest, continuously cultivated farms in Austria. The downhill to Vent was also technically demanding. There was sleet, at about 3 degree temperature and good headwind that has whipped us the ice crystals proficient in the face ... :) The track was rocky, muddy and mushy. A flock of sheep made us the way only reluctantly. After about 150 hm downhill it ceased to Snowing and raining. The clothes were then dried quickly by the wind. The temperature was now at about 13 degrees. The other trip to Sölden then went on asphalt and other forest paths. The trail had everything you than MTB'ler so desires and it has made us a lot of fun. Many thanks to our guide the Hannes of the mountain bike school Sölden which allowed us this trail. By the way ... During the downhills I was wearing a Vaude Posta Jacket II (Inet price 125, - & euro). This part is worth every penny! Water and wind resistant for about 15 minutes long sleet at about 3 degrees and windproof at Abffahrt with about 65 km / h at about 13 degrees. Also, I was very surprised how quickly the jacket was dry again. Garmin GPSmap 60csx Trackaufzeichung with compass card used 1912, Ötztal, Tour Number 655, Map Number 25
