Von Rottau aus ins Rottauer Tal. Immer Richtung Hochplatte haltend bis man unter dem Friedenrath (auf 1169m) wieder leicht bergab fährt. Die erste Abzweigung nach rechts oben (Hochplatte) liegen lassen. Nach ca. 400m geht in einer Kreuzung rechts bergauf der Gipfelweg (Hochplatte). Erst kurz vor dem Gipfel wird der Blick auf das ganze Nordöstliche Alpenvorland frei. Am Gipfelpass kann man weiter zum Grassauer Haus (Einkehr), muss aber diesen knappen Kilomter und die 100hm wieder zurück. In diesem Bereich ein traumhafter Blick in alle Richtungen! Von dem Sattel zwischen Gipfelpass und Grassauer Hütte geht nach Nordosten ein kleiner horizontaler Pfad weg (der zu Anfangs beschreebene Weg, der ignoriert werden sollte). Das wäre als Abfahrtalternative eine sehr schwere Singletrail/Trialstrecke, bergab bis auf wenige Stellen fahrbar. Von der Kreuzung auf 1117hm Richtung Talstation/ Staffenalm. Diesem Weg immer bergab bis auf 726hm folgen. Schöner Trail! Wenn der steleie Trail in einen Forstweg einbiegt, links und gleich wieder rechts halten bergauf, unter der Seilbahn durch und vor der Rachelalm rechts einem kleinen Pfad Richtung Zeppelinhöhe folgen. Über Serpentinen geht es über Bachbett zur Zeppelinhöhe. Trotz des schönen Singletrails und der engen Serpentinen leicht fahrbar. Von hier geht es am Hang entlang zum Wirtshaus Strehtrumpf. Am Parkplatz talwärts über den Zaun steigen, Wiese, erneut Zaun. Im Wald 2 mal 15hm Treppen. Von dort schöner, schneller Trail bis Rottau. Fazit: Langweilige Auffahrt, Schöner Blick mit seltener Kulisse, starke, schnelle und vielfältige Trails und Singletrails bis ins Tal.

From Rottau from the Rottauer valley. Always direction Hochplatte holding up one under the Friedenrath (at 1169m) slightly downhill. Leave the first turning on the right top (high drive). After about 400m goes to a junction, turn right uphill the way of peak (high drive). Only shortly before the summit, the view of the entire Northeast foothills of the Alps is free. This way downhill all follow up on 726hm. Beautiful Trail! If the steleie Trail turns into a forest, turn left, then bear right uphill, under the cable car and strictly follow before Rachelalm right path towards a small Zeppelin height. About serpentines through the creek bed to Zeppelin height. Despite the beautiful singletrack and tight switchbacks easy to drive. From here it goes along the slope to the inn Strehtrumpf. At the parking lot downhill climb over the fence, meadow, fence again. In the woods 2 times 15hm stairs. From there, beautiful, faster trail to Rottau. Conclusion: Boring Driveway, Nice view with a backdrop of rare, strong, fast and diverse trails and singletrack to the valley.
