Trail Description


Start in Bruneck, Südtirol, ca. 800 Hm. Die ersten 10 Kilometer auf ebener Straße. Ab Sand in Taufers bei einer 15 bis 20% er Steigung, ca. 1,5 Stunden lang bis Rein in Taufers. Nach weiteren 1,5 Stunden wird die Knuttenalm erreicht auf 1911 Hm. Ab hier begann es zu regnen. Bei 8 Grad Celsius ging es weiter die Serpentinen hoch bis zur Landesgrenze - dem Klammljoch, auf 2305 Hm. Benötigte Zeit bis hierher ca. 5 Stunden. Es folgt eine eher triste Abfahrt bis zum Parkplatz Erlsbach im Deferegental auf 1566 Hm. Hier ist es etwas wärmer, immerhin schon 10 Grad. Der erste Teil der Auffahrt zum Stallersattel, bis zum Verlassen der bewaldeten Serpentinen auf ca. 1900 Hm, war für mich schon ziemlich strapaziös, so richtig ungemütlich wurde es erst die letzten 3 Kilometer, den Bergsattel entlang bis zum Stallersattel, die sich schier unendlich dahinzogen. Die Abfahrt vom Stallersattel bis zum Antholzer See, vom Regen durchnäßt, bei 8 Grad, war kein Zuckerschlecken. Daher beendeten wir die Tour hier, obwohl wir für die Talfahrt vom Antholzer See bis Bruneck wohl nicht wesentlich mehr als eine zusätzliche Stunde benötigt hätten. Somit waren es insgesamt ca. 8 Stunden.

Start in Brunico, South Tyrol, 800 Hm. The first 10 km on flat roads. From Campo Tures at a 15-20% gradient it, about 1.5 hours to Riva di Tures. After another 1.5 hours, the Knuttenalm is achieved in 1911 Hm. From here it began to rain. At 8 degrees Celsius it went on the switchbacks up to the border - the Klammljoch on 2305 Hm Time needed to here about 5 hours.. It follows a rather dismal exit to the parking lot Erlsbach in Deferegental, 1566 Hm. Here it is a little warmer, after all, already 10 degrees. The first part of the driveway to the Staller Sattel, until leaving the wooded switchbacks to about 1900 Hm, was pretty exhausting for me really uncomfortable, it was not until the last three kilometers, the mountain saddle along to the Staller Sattel, which then withdrew almost infinite . The descent from the Staller Sattel to the Lake Anterselva, drenched by the rain, at 8 degrees, was no picnic. Therefore, we ended the tour here, although we would have needed not much more than an extra hour for the descent from the Lake Anterselva Brunico up.
