Den Velmerstot als Ost-Westfale einmal befahren zu haben ist eigentlich pflicht! Diese Route startet und endet an den Externsteinen. Um sich - meiner Meinung nach - den schöneren Teil der Strecke für den Schluss auf zu sparen verläuft der Track rechts herum, also als erstes geht es nach Altenbeken. Trotzdem ist der Teil sehr sehenswert! Auch hier muss man schon auf ca. 400 Höhenmeter und da es immer hoch und runter geht ist es auch recht anstrengend ;-). Als nächstes Etappenziel wartet Bad Driburg, was allerdings nur gestriffen wird. Auf dem Weg dorthin kommt man an der "Max und Moritz-Quelle" vorbei, bevor der "Heineweg" und später der "Sachsenring" Richtung Bad Driburg den Weg weisen. In Bad Driburg angekommen geht es bergauf zum Eggeweg, welcher bis zu den Externsteinen kaum verlassen wird. Wer seine Technik verbessern möchte sollte nach ca. 9 km nicht der Teerstraße sondern rechts davon einen Trampelpfad folgen, welcher es stellenweise ganz schön in sich hat! Dieser Technikpart führt bis zum Velmerstot und setzt sich mit der Abfahrt weiter fort. Hat man die Abfahrt gut gemeistert kommt landschaftlich das Sahnestückchen der Strecke: "Der Silberbach". Dieser schlängelt sich durch ein tiefes Tal, welches gut befahren werden kann. Kleiner Umweg flussaufwärts lohnt sich bestimmt! Für so ein Bachverlauf muss man sonst weit fahren. Flussabwärts bietet sich mit der Silbermühle eine gute Möglichkeit zur Rast bevor der Weg bergauf zurück zu den Externsteinen führt. Viel Spaß!

To have sailed the East Westphalian Velmerstot than once is actually compulsory! This route starts and ends at the Extern Stones. To - in my opinion - to save the nicer part of the route for the circuit on the right track runs around, so first it goes to Altenbeken. Nevertheless, the part is well worth seeing! Again, you have to to about 400 meters and it always goes up and down, it is also quite strenuous;-). Next milestone waiting Bad Driburg, which is however only died reefs. On the way to get to the & quot; Max and Moritz source & quot; over before the & quot; Heineweg & quot; and later the & quot; Sachsenring & quot; Direction Bad Driburg the way. Once in Bad Driburg it goes uphill to Eggeweg, which will hardly leave up to the Extern Stones. Those who want to improve their technique should not follow the tarred road but the right of a trail, which is & nbsp after about 9 km; places quite got the lot! This winds through a deep valley, which can be well traveled. Small detour upstream is certainly worthwhile! For such a stream course you have to drive far otherwise.
