Trail Description

The "Laurenzi-route" is a shared mountain bike route between Rekawinkel and Neulengbach. By nature it is a long but comfortable MTB-round with high asphalt content, but also short pithy uphills. Starting point of the race track is the recreation center Neulengbach, or as I drove it out of calibration trench (inn on the B44). Along nice hiking trails or minor roads it is first direction book mountain, the first highlight of the tour. Of the four hills of the Vienna Woods book that applies north of Neulengbach, not least because of the 2004 newly built observation tower and the bewirtetem shelter on mountain book as the most beautiful and popular. From the platform of 19m high, architecturally interesting, wooden tower you can enjoy a panoramic view that can only be described with superlatives. From Exel mountain on the outskirts of Vienna you can see the Alps through the Vienna Woods with Schöpfl and Gföhlberg and the Alps, and about Oetscher Dürrenstein to the Dead Mountains with High Tide and the mountains of the Salzkammergut with Höllengebirge and Traunstein. About the Tulln field - with the striking power plant Duernrohr - and the Danube Valley, the view across up to Ostrong in the Waldviertel, to the foothills of the Wachau Valley to the hills of the wine district. Again, it goes on trails and roads to Neulengbach where sail over a longer stretch of cycle path along the Laabenbaches. On the sports field in Steinhäusel is then concluded with Lustig: first a deep black Kogl rise direction, and after a short downhill again a crunchy gravel road climb towards Hochstraß. From there again on minor roads and forest roads back to the starting point. The tour was presented at the mountain Atlas Sound / Neumüller (http://www.schall-verlag.at/Fuehrer/MTB-Atlas.htm), and provides for the high asphaltene content good opportunities even after heavy rainfall with reasonably clean wheel after come home to. A very scenic route where you drive not only in the forest, but also a bit of looks over the hills!
