Die Tour beginnt in Bad Harzburg auf dem Parkplatz Kantor-Schünemann-Str. Es geht unter der Bahnunterführung durch zur Straße Am Horn, wir folgen dem Feld-und Radweg bis zum Ortstei Westerode wo wir auf den R1 treffen unter der alten Bahnbrücke durch und links am alten Bahndamm halten, ich war heute etwas zu schnell und habe eine kleine Schleife gemacht. Dem R1 folgen wir bis kurz vor vor Wernigerode zum Kloster Himmelpforten. In Ilsenburg verlassen wir ihn auf einem kurzen Abschnitt, er wurde irgenwann mal wieder umgeleitet. Von der Himmelpforte geht es auf Forstwegen weiter zum Bahnhof Steinerne Renne, die Brockenbahn kam gerade vorbei und ich mußte noch ein Bild machen, Jetzt geht es auf dem Bahnparallelweg, der sehr abwechslungsreich ist bis auf die Höhe von Drei Annen. Nun fahren wir rechts weiter um auf diesem Weg, am Hohnepfahl vorbei, den Oberen Hohneweg zu erreichen. Hier am alten Skihang ist der höchste Punkt erreicht. Wir folgen dem Hohneweg an der Plessenburg vorbei bis ins Ilsetal. Dann geht es weiter an der Stempelsbuche und der Rangerstation Scharfenstein zur Eckertalsperre. Es folgt ein kleiner Anstieg der dann aber in eine schnelle Abfahrt zum Molkenhaus übergeht, aber vorsichtig, kurz vor dem Ende befindet sich auf der rechten Seite ein Kinderspielplatz. Von hier bis zur Waldgaststätte Rabenklippe wird der Weg auch von vielen Fußgängern benutzt, ab da ist man fast allein. Die letzte Abfahrt über die Wartenbergstraße bietet wunderschöne Blicke auf Bad Harzburg und den Butterberg dessen Trail dann fast das letzte Stück einer Tour ist, die nichts zu wünschen übrig läßt.

The tour begins in Bad Harzburg in the parking lot Kantor-Schünemann-Str. It passes under the railway underpass to the road in the Horn, we follow the field and bike path to Ortstei Westerode where we meet the R1 through under the old railway bridge and turn left at the old railway embankment, today I was a little too fast and have a small loop made. The R1 we follow until shortly before before Wernigerode to the monastery gates of heaven. In Ilsenburg we leave him on a short section, he was irgenwann redirected again. From the gates of heaven it goes on forest roads continue to Stony Run Station, the Brocken Railway passed straight and I had to make a picture, now it's on the Bahnparallelweg which is varied up to the level of Drei Annen. Now we turn right to continue on this path, the Hohnepfahl past to reach the Upper Hohneweg. Here at the old ski slope, the highest point is reached. We follow the Hohneweg at the Plessenburg over to the Ilsetal. Then it's on to the stamp book and the Ranger Station Scharfstein for Eckertalsperre. It follows a small increase in but then goes into a fast descent to the whey house, but gently, just before the end is on the right side of a children's playground. From here to the Waldgaststätte Rabenklippe the road is also used by many pedestrians, from there you are almost alone. The last exit on the Wartenberg road offers beautiful views of Bad Harzburg and the butter mountain whose trail almost the last piece of a tour is then that leaves nothing to be desired.
