Trail Description

DESCENT OF THE SHRINE OF MENTORELLA
It is a pretty simple ride from the point of view but extremely technical guidance in the section of single track that descends from the sanctuary to the valley below Pisoniano (path of Pope Wojtyla).
initial stretch of asphalt is very long and is 18km long. of almost continuous uphill on roads but usually with little traffic and beautiful scenery of the Atlas Mountains Prenestini.
The descent starts from the gate of the sanctuary: it is one of the most technical descents that I know here in New York and must be addressed with all due respect They are strongly suggested the guards and a helmet very protective. The full bike definitely are better in various technical steps that dot the descent.
Giro exhausting but extremely rewarding. Try though I do not recommend walking it with moist soil ... the rocks are slippery as never seen before!
PS: Big thank Andrea for the track fornitami, which I followed in my itinerary. The "Knock on Guiding Light" for suggestions.
PS2: any good lunch - at the end of the tour - by Gaetano on the square in Capranica Prenestina.
