Und wieder eine Winterrunde. Wie gewohnt Trailfrei und vorwiegend auf Forst- Feld- und Schotterstrassen. Heuer geht's von Kommern über den Kermeter zum Urftsee und wieder zurück. Von Kommern aus geht's vorbei am Kommerner See und dann am Kreisverkehr Richtung Hostel. Dann zweigt die Route rechts ab ind den Eickser Busch hinein. Über Felsen erreicht man dann Eicks. Ab hier geht's über geteerte Feldwege in Richtung Glehn und dann die Lukasheide hinauf nach Hergarten. In Hergarten geht's durch den Busch zunächst auf Wanderweg A4 und dann auf Wanderweg 6 bis schliesslich eine schöne Rampe hinauf zum Gut Weimert wartet. Im Winter kann es sein das man hier hinauf schieben muss, loses Laub und von den Wildschweinen aufgefühltes Erdreich macht ein vorankommen sehr schwierig. Oben geht's dann zum kloster Maria Wald und weiter auf Forstautobahnen zum Wanderparklpatz Kermeter. Ab dem Wanderparkplatz Kermeter bis zum Rastplatz Paulushof kanns bei winterlichen Verhältnissen ganz schön glatt werden, also Vorsicht bitte. Ab dem Rastplatz Paulushof gehts dann links den Honigberg hinab. Wanderweg A4 bringt einen direkt hinunter zum Ufer des Obersees, an welchem man dann links herum in Richtung Urftsee radelt. Hat man die Staumauer des Urftsees erreicht gehts weiter auf Schotter und ziemlich eben bis nach Gemünd. Zwischenzeitlich hat man immer wieder einen tollen Blick auf Burg Vogelsang und man kommt an der Baustelle vorbei wo die neue Brücke entstehen soll die momentan so viel Presse macht. Ab Gemünd geht's am Ort vorbei und durch den Ort immer an der Urft vorbei. Dem Fluss folgt man auch bis fast nach Kall. Es geht zunächst über eine alte Bahntrasse und dann kurz über eine Landstrasse. Am Kaller Heistert geht's dann jedoch links hinauf in Richtung Industriegebiet. Oben geht's dann weiter nach Scheven und dann imer weiter am Bleibach entlang bis nach Strempt. Hier steuert man Richtung Sportplatz und dann Richtung Mechernich. Hat man die Bundesstrasse erreicht gehts kurz links und dann wieder rechts in die Marienau. Über Forst- und Schotterstrassen erreicht man dann wieder den Ausgangspunkt Kommern. Fazit: Konditionell würd ich die Tour mittelschwer einstufen. Fahrtechnisch eher leicht. Landschaftlich wie immer toll, besonders schön ists bei Schnee auf dem Kermeter.
