Von Gemünder Marienplatz aus geht es über die Anliegerstraße gleich bergauf auf den Salzberg. Von dort aus weiter rauf bis nach Herhahn. Wir folgen der alten Panzerstraße bis aufs Gelände der Burg Vogelsang und weiter nach Wollseifen. Wollseifen ist ein ca. 1946 verlassenes Dorf welches bis 2006 als Truppenübungsplatz verwendet wurde und seitdem nur noch als Geisterdorf existiert. Einzig die alte Schule, das Trafohäuschen und die Kirche sind noch vom echten Dorf übrig. Von dort aus geht es dann immer dem Hauptweg nach steil bergab bis ins obere Urfttal (Obersee). Ab hier kommen praktisch kaum noch nennenswerte Steigungen bis zum Schluss der Tour. Dem Obersee entlang folgt man dann auf geradem Wege über den Pfad bis nach Einruhr. In Einruhr gibt es eine ganze Reihe Einkehrmöglichkeiten, so man möchte. Von Einruhr aus gehts dann auf der anderen Seite des Sees wieder via Rurberg zurück in Richtung Urftseestaumauer. Vorbei am Urftstausee mit seiner über 100 Jahre alten und ehemals grössten Staumauer Europas fahren wir wieder bis nach Gemünd. Während zwischen Einruhr und Stausee ja noch ein paar kleine Hügelchen zu bewältigen waren geht es jetzt nur noch gerade aus. Also, eigentlich eine entspannte Tour mit nur einer wirklichen Steigung ganz am Anfang. Viel Spass............

From Gemünder Marienplatz off along the service road uphill equal to the salt mine. From there up until after Herhahn. We follow the old tank road up onto the grounds of the castle Vogelsang and on to Wollseifen. Wollseifen is an approximately 1946 abandoned village which was used until 2006 as a military training area and & nbsp; since then, only exists as a ghost town. Only the old school, the transformer house and the church are still left from the real village. From there it is then always the main road after a steep descent down to the upper Urfttal (Upper Lake). From here come handy hardly noteworthy climbs up to the end of the tour. & Nbsp; The upper lake along one then follows a straight path on the trail to Einruhr. In Einruhr there are many places of interest and so we would like. From Einruhr from then go on the other side of the lake again via Rurberg back towards Urftseestaumauer. Passing the Urftstausee with its over 100 years old and formerly the largest dam in Europe we go back to after Gemuend. While Einruhr between reservoir and yes a few small hillocks were still cope with it is now only straight ahead. Well, actually, a relaxed tour with only one real pitch at the very beginning.
