Schöne, aussichtsreiche Tour durch unterschiedliches Gelände: kleine Wege durch Wohngebiete, Wiesen, Felder und Wälder. Von Ehrenbreitstein zur Festung bin ich nicht dem offiziellen Rheinsteig gefolgt, da man in der Festung Eintritt zahlen muss (auch wenn man nur durchfahren möchte). Die Alternative ist ein kleiner Zick-Zackweg, der wieder auf den Rheinsteig führt.

Beautiful, promising tour through different terrain: small roads through residential areas, meadows, fields and forests. From Ehrenbreitstein to the fortress I'm not followed the official Rhine gate, because you have to pay in the fort entrance (even if you just want to drive through). The alternative is a small zig-Zackweg that leads back to the Rhine riser.
