Wunderschöne Tour „Rund um Ahnatal,“ die ohne Blick nach links und rechts in knappe 1,5 Stunden „abgefrühstückt“ werden kann. Da dem Mountainbiker in Sachen Kultur ein wenig Horizonterweiterung jedoch nicht schadet, kann diese Tour jedoch auch zum Tagesausflug und somit zur Genusstour und Bildungsreise umfunktioniert werden. Hierbei steht dann der Besuch des Schlosses und des Schlossparks Wilhelmsthal auf dem Programm in dem wir natürlich unseren Drahtesel nur schiebend fortbewegen. Bei einer Pause am Schloßteich beobachten wir die noch glücklichen Hochzeitspaare beim Fotoshooting. Wie unzählige andere Frischvermählte nutzen diese, neben dem Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe, die einzigartige Location des Parks als Beweismittelsicherung zum Beginn der Familienplanung und Ende der Unabhängigkeit. Uns bleibt nur viel Glück an dieser Stelle zu wünschen. Die Weiterfahrt erfolgt über das Lindenrondell, durch Fürstenwald, dem Hügelgrab und dann über den Schieferstein bis fast hinauf zum Dörnberg. Am Wegweiser kann durch einen Abstecher zum Dörnberg, die Tour erweitert werden damit im Café am Dörnberg eine weitere Pause die Fahrt unterbricht. Nun geht’s auf schönem Trail der, bedingt durch viel Wurzelwerk, bei Nässe sehr glatt und schmierig werden kann flott bergab. Vorbei am Hohlestein, teilweise (alternativ auch komplett für Trailenthusiasten) auf dem „F“-Weg bis zum Parkplatz Triffelsbühl, dann vorbei am Gasthaus Ahnetal und zurück zum Startpunkt.
