Als Alternative zu den Slickrocks eine entspannte Tour auf breitem Weg zu einem Aussichtspass über dem Colorado. Zunächst geteert dem Colorado folgen, dann hoch auf Forstweg über kleinen Buckel in Serpentinen runter zu Quelle (spring, dort tafeln und Grillstellen), dem weg folgen durch kleine Furt, danach immer weiter auf Fahrweg durch den canyon, nach Verbreiterung des Tals über einen kleinen Hügel (Felsentor) und durch Flussniederung (creek), danach Wegweiser folgen nach rechts auf Fahrweg mit Felspartien hoch. Runter genauso wie hoch oder vorne runter. 2008 rückten schwere Baumaschinen an, vielleicht ist jetzt schon viel mehr geteert??

As an alternative to the Slick Rocks a relaxing tour on a wide path to a lookout pass over the Colorado. First tarred follow the Colorado, then up to forest over small hump in serpentines down to source (spring, dine there and barbecues), the follow away by small ford, then continues to track through the canyon, after widening of the valley on a small hill (rock arch) and river valley (creek), then follow the signs to the right on track with rock outcrops high. Down as well as up or down the front. 2008 moved to heavy construction equipment, perhaps now is a lot more tarred ??
