Schöne Rundtour durch das bergige Hinterland von Prato. Schattige Kastanienhaine, einsame grüne Täler, Natur pur! Die Tour stammt von der homepage eines Florentiner MTB-Vereins. Da es jeoch keine GPS-Daten gab, habe ich die Tourenskizze über googleEarth nachgezeichnet und so einen sehr guten Track erhalten. Beim Nachfahren gibt es ein paar "Orientierungsschlaufen"! Die Tour verläuft fast ausschließlich auf Straßen und Forstraßen. Es gibt praktisch keine technisch schwierige Stellen, zum Teil aber recht knackige Anstiege. Von Prato (etwas außerhalb parken, da sonst alles Kurzparkzone ist!) einen sehr schön angelegten Radweg (ja auch das gibts in Italien...) bis zu einer markanten Bahnunterführung (im Sommer 2008 war der Radweg danach wegen eines Tunneleinsturzes unterrbrochen), auf der SS 325 weiter nach La Briglia, dann links bergauf nach Schignano (Asfalt). Die Asfaltstraße endet dann und es geht über die Le cavallaie nach Luogomano, vorbei an Cantagallo bergab Richtung San Quirico, wo man in Vernio wieder auf die Staatsstraße trifft und auf dieser rasch nach La Briglia kommt. Am kleinen Hauptplatz in Vernio gibt es eine nette Kaffeebar mit guten "Dolce". Der Rest der Strecke wie auf der Hinfahrt. Auf der Strecke (abseits von den Orten bei der Zu- bzw. Rückfahrt) keine Einkehrmöglichkeit.

Beautiful round trip through the mountainous hinterland of Prato. Shaded chestnut groves, secluded green valleys, pure nature! The tour is from the homepage of a Florentine MTB Club. Since there was no jeoch GPS data, I have traced the Tour sketch of google earth and so get a very good track. When descendants there are some & quot; orientation loops & quot ;! The tour runs almost exclusively on roads and forest roads. There is virtually no technically difficult passages, but partly quite crisp climbs. From Prato (park outside, otherwise everything is short-term parking zone!) Has a very nice cycle paths (yes also there in Italy ...) to a prominent railway underpass (in the summer of 2008 was the bike path thereafter due to a tunnel collapse unterrbrochen), on the SS 325 to La Briglia, then left uphill to Schignano (Asphalt). The tarmac road ends and then it goes over the Le cavallaie after Luogomano, past Cantagallo downhill towards San Quirico, where you meet again in Vernio on the main road and comes quickly on this to La Briglia. At the small main square in Vernio there is a nice coffee bar with good & quot; Dolce & quot ;. The rest of the route as on the outward journey. & Nbsp; along the route (away from the places in the supply or return trip) no refreshments available.
