Tag 1/3: Tagestour durch das Trela-Tal und über den Passo del Gallo Intro Dieser Track ist ein Artefakt eines dreitägigen Kurzurlaubs des Team Radler im Sommer 2008. Kurzer Abriss (Text-Quelle: http://www.altarezia.eu) Die Tour über den Passo Trela ist wahrscheinlich die schönste in der Region Livigno. Nach der Auffahrt zum Passo d’Eira, führt ein schöner Trail auf der rechten Talseite um Trepalle herum. Nach der Straßenquerung gelangt man schließlich auf den speziell für Bike-WM 2005 neu gebauten Trail über den Passo Trela – ein etwa ein Meter breiter, glatter Pfad, der vor der Passhöhe ein paar steile Rampen hat, aber insgesamt perfekt zu fahren ist. Vor allem die Abfahrt zur Einkehrstation Malga Trela ist ein einziger Genuss. Nach der weiteren Abfahrt durch das felsige Val Pettini rollt man ein kurzes Stück am Lago Fraele entlang. Mit einem Singletrail-Anteil von über 13 Kilometern und seinem absoluten Traumpanorama gehört der Passo del Gallo für engagierte Mountainbiker zu einer der schönsten Touren der Alpen. Dabei sind die Trails keineswegs ruppig und brutal, sondern auf den alten Schmugglerwegen überwiegend sanft ansteigend und über eine lange Distanz glatt, mit kurzem Gras bewachsen, so dass man weich wie auf einem Teppichboden fährt. Immhin haben die Schmuggler hier schwere Lasten getragen. Nur die Abfahrt ins Val Mora ist technisch schwierig und zwingt weniger versierte Biker ein paar Mal aus dem Sattel. Die Rückfahrt über den Passo Alpisella fordert eine gute Kondition, bietet aber tolle Blicke bis zum Ortler. Outro Kommentare sind ausdrücklich erwünscht. Das wars, viel Spass und Kette rechts!

The trails are not rude and brutal, but mostly gently sloping and smooth over a long distance, short-grass covered on the old smugglers paths, so that you go soft as on a carpeted floor. Immhin the smugglers have carried heavy loads here. Only the descent into the Val Mora is technically difficult and requires less experienced bikers a few times out of the saddle. The return trip over the Passo Alpisella requires a good physical condition, but offers great views to the Ortler. Outro comments are welcome. That's it, have fun and chain right!
