Erster Tag: Alexanderschanze-Gengenbach, 65 km, 1550Hm. Startpunkt ist die Alexanderschanze (968m) an der Schwarzwaldhochstraße. Autoabstellmöglichkeit am Parkplatz neben dem ehemaligen Hotel. Wir starten auf dem fast ebenen Höhenweg bis zur Zuflucht. Immer wieder tolle Panoramablicke über den Schwarzwald bis ins Rheintal und die Vogesen. Am Schliffkopf vorbei bis zum Ruhestein, einem beliebten Skihang. Aufstieg bis zur Darmstädter Hütte (bewirtet, 1075m).Weiter gehts bis zum Seibelseckle (Skihang, 956m) und von dort hinauf bis zum Mummelsee (1024m) unterhalb der Hornisgrinde, dem höchsten Berg im Nordschwarzwald (1164m). Am Mummelsee beginnt die Abfahrt hinab ins Achertal nach Seebach und Ottenhöfen (270m). Auf der anderen Talseite Aufstieg auf einem Asphaltweg zum Sohlberg (700m). Gleich zu Beginn der Abfahrt ins Renchtal (270m) Einkehrmöglichkeit beim „Fiesen Michel“, einem herrlich gelegenen Bergbauernhof. In Lauterbach im Renchtal beginnt der lange Aufstieg auf den Mooskopf (871m) mit seinem 21m hohen Aussichtsturm. Danach Abfahrt ins Kinzigtal. Hier gibt es ein dichtes Wegenetz hinab nach nach Gengenbach (170m), unserem Etappenziel. Mit seinen vielen Fachwerkhäusern und der romantischen Altstadt ist der Ort einer der schönsten im Schwarzwald. Hier Übernachtung. Zweiter Tag: Gengenbach Alexanderschanze, 46km, 1400Hm. Von Gengenbach geht es Kinzig aufwärts bis nach Biberach. Dort rechts weg über die Kinzig und hinauf nach Unter-/Oberentersbach bis zum Nillhof. Weiter bis zum Schwarzenbachsattel (744m). Wir fahren vorbei am Brandenkopf (945m) und Reiherskopf und fahren bis zum Kreuzsattel (738m). Weiter geht es auf dem Westweg über Hark (Einkehrmöglichkeit) bis zum Glaswaldsee, an dem wir oberhalb auf dem Höhenzug vorbeifahren. Wer zusätzliche 150Hm sammeln möchte kann hier einen Abstecher hinab zum herrlich gelegenen Glaswaldsee (839m) machen. Er wurde während der Eiszeit durch einen Gletscher aus dem Buntsandstein herausgehobelt und wird durch eine unterirdische Quelle gespeist. Nach dem Glaswaldsee geht es auf den Westweg weiter bis zum Ziel Alexanderschanze (968m). Zum Schluss werden wir nocheinmal mit sagenhaften Fernblicken über den Schwarzwald belohnt.
