Trail Description

The tour begins at the free car park of Garmisch ice stadium. It is to create in a day. With breaks one is about 7 hours on the road. The driving time is approximately 5 & nbsp; hours. 30 minutes. At an average speed of 15 km / h. First & nbsp; We continue along the Zugspitze cogwheel train Hammerbach. In Grainau we turn left up to the Eibsee. Immediately after the & nbsp; Taverne Hotel the forest road branches off to the left. It leads us through the so-called Zugwald. Twice it goes under the Eibseeseilbahn through evenly and & nbsp; not too steep upward. It is really pleasant to drive and on hot days it is for the shady path grateful safe with good condition (condition for this tour). Links & nbsp; We have always a beautiful view up to the Zugspitze. & Nbsp; At the border now follows an approximately 300 m long trial-and support piece. On Austrian soil on it goes to Hochthörlehütte (1459m). Up to this point there are good 780 meters. Now & nbsp;, it goes fast on a tar road at the Tyrolean Zugspitze Railway & nbsp; passed down to Ehrwald. The & nbsp; following ramp to Ehrwald Alm (1502m) has it all & nbsp!; At about 3.5 km 425 meters has to! After Alm it goes up another 150 Hm to 1632m before the road turns off right in Gaistal to the highest point of the tour. This particularly scenic section also is the Leutaschtal probably the highlight of the tour. With traffic we have it from the parking lot & quot; Salzbach & quot; to do. Up to this point we have already 41.5 kilometers traveled and conquered in 1422 Hm. The drive through the Leutaschtal leads to the normal car road. But one could also take the bike path along the Leutasch. Back on German territory branches just before mid-forest, the trail left towards Ferchensee, Elmau. The forest road on the left leads past the Lauter to Elmau. Before we & nbsp;., We must reach the turn to the left direction Hintergraseck yet overcome the steep final climb of the Tour & nbsp; At this junction freaks might even go up after Wamberg! Us, the tour continues in an Hintergraseck. Here you have a fantastic view of the Alpine peaks and the Jubiläumsgrat. Now we pass Vordergraseck very steeply down to Partnachklamm input. Finally we roll comfortably along the Partnach, past the ski stadium and the new ski jump back to our starting point at the ice rink. Possible stops along the route are & nbsp; it enough. It would take too long to list them all here.
