Tag 9 unseres Leogang-Urlaubs Worldclass Mountainbike Challenge Offenburg Um 06:30 Uhr ging der Wecker - da war ich allerdings schon eine halbe Stunde wach. Ein Blick aus dem Fenster und ich dachte mir: Das kann ja wohl nicht wahr sein. Eine Woche Bombenwetter in der Bergen und was ist hier in Ettlingen/Offenburg? Das gleiche! Ja! Unglaublich! Nach den Unwettern gestern strahlte mich die Sonne und der blaue Himmel an. WOMC, wir kommen! Zuerst flitzen wir zur Bäckerei um uns mit Brötchen für das Rennen zu stärken und dann ging’s ab nach Offenburg. Machte die Organisation am Vortag schon einen guten Eindruck, so wurde dieser heute noch bestätigt. Alles funktioniere einwandfrei! Die Parkplätze waren riesig, gut ausgeschildert und von Polizei und Sicherheitsleuten bewacht. Das Rennen selber war total geil! Ein wunderschöne schnelle Strecke durch die Wälder und Weinberge rund um Offenbach. Der Veranstalter spricht von 10.000 Zuschauern - und das glaube ich gerne. Ich habe mich ein wenig gefühlt wie bei der Tour de France! Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert. Heike und ich haben uns mit 03:02 Stunden bzw. 02:55 Stunden im Mittelfeld der Wertung wiedergefunden und Ralph hat das Tagesziel “ankommen!” auch mit Bravur und Krämpfen erreicht. Day 9 of our holiday Leogang-World Class Mountain Bike Challenge Offenburg at 06:30 clock the alarm clock went - as though I was already half an hour awake. A glance out the window and I thought: That can not be true. A week bomb Weather in the mountains and what is here in Ettlingen / Offenburg? The same! Yes! Unbelievable! After the storms yesterday beamed at me, the sun and the blue sky. WOMC, here we come! First we flit to the bakery around us with sandwiches for the race to strengthen and then it was off to Offenburg. Made the organization the day before a good first impression, so this was still confirmed. Everything was working perfectly! The parking spaces were huge, well marked and guarded by police and security guards. The race itself was totally cool! A beautiful fast track through the woods and vineyards around Offenbach. The organizer speaks of 10,000 spectators - and I believe you. I have felt a little like the Tour de France! Thoroughly recommended. Heike and I found ourselves with 03:02 h and 02:55 h in the middle of the standings and Ralph has the goal for the day "arrive" also achieved with flying colors and convulsions.
