Der Startpunkt ist in Ingelheim am Rheinufer. Von dort geht es Richtung Gaulsheim am Rhein entlang. In Gaulsheim links Richtung Ockenheim und direkt nach der Unterführung rechts abbiegen.Jetzt geht es ein kurzes Stück an der Autobahn entlang. Oberhalb der Autobahnabfahrt links fahren und ann den Schildern nach Dromersheim folgen. Man kommt unterhalb des Dromersheimers Kreisels raus und fährt Richtung Ortsmitte. Vor der Metzgerei links rein und dann geht es auf den ersten Hügel (Jakobsberg). Der Anstieg ist relativ steil. Oben angekommen hält man sich rechts und folgt solange dem Weg bis die Strasse nach Appenheim erreicht ist. Dort gehts runter nach Appenheim. In Appenheim die Ingelheimer Strasse hinunter und dann gehts auch schon wieder hoch. Dem Weg folgen bis man ganz oben ist. Auf dem Plateau bis zum Gestüt Westerhaus fahren und dort die Weinberge wieder runter nach Großwinternheim. In der Großwinternheimer Ortmitte geht es einen schönen Weg den letzten Hügel hoch. Der Weg führt durch ein kleines Wäldchen. Oben muss man sich irgendwann links orientieren damit man entweder an der Ingelheimer Burgkirche vorbei zum Rhein kommt oder man kann auch über Wackernheim und Heidesheim zurück.
