L’ho fatta ad ottobre del 2007.
Partendo da Upega (1300), si sale su asfalto fino al passo Monaglie (1600), si prosegue a destra (dir. Piaggia/ Monesi) per facile sterrata fino a Margheri Binda (1620) Tenedo la stalla sulla destra (okkio alle cacche delle vacche!) si prende un bel sentiero in direzione Piagga/Monesi.
Dopo qualche tornante tecnico si arriva a Piaggia, da lì i direzione degli impianti di Monesi (1387) da dove parte la sterrata che sale verso il passo Tanarello. A passo Basera (2040) si sale verso destra sul Monte Tanarello, si passa per l’omonimo Passo (2040) si attraversano i baraccamenti e si sale per evidente sentiero per la cresta a confine tra la Francia e l’Italia. Si passano nell’ordine P.ta Farenga, Cima Missun e Cima Rossa. Dopo essere passati sotto Monte Bertramo, si raggiunge il punto di max altezza (2400) quindi per Cima Velega si scende verso Colle delle Vecchie (2100) dove si incontra la strada militare. A questo punto o si prende a sinistra per evidente sentiero o si prosegue per la sterrata. Entrambe le opzioni fanno aggirare Cima Pertega e si ricongiungono al bivio di Colle dei Signori (2100). Da qui si piega a destra per la Val Carnino in ambiente fantastico. Si passa un gruppo di costruzioni Chiesa di S. Domenico) e si prosegue versoi la Gola della Chiusetta. Un sentiero, prima tecnico poi più scorrevole nel bosco, porta fino a Carnino. Da qui, in pochi chilometri di asfalto si ritorna a Upega.

From Upega (1300), climb on asphalt to step Monaglie (1600), continue to the right (dir. Piaggia / Monesi) for easy dirt road until you Margheri Binda (1620) Taking the barn on the right (okkio the droppings of cows!) takes a nice path in the direction Piagga / Monesi.
After a bend you get technical Piaggia, from there the direction of the ski Monesi (1387) from where the dirt road that climbs to the pass Tanarello. A step Basera (2040) climb to the right of Mount Tanarello, they go through the namesake Step (2040) crossing the barracks and go up to clear the path to the ridge on the border between France and Italy. You pass the order Punta Farenga, Missun Cima and Cima Rossa. After passing under Mount Bertram, you reach the point of maximum height (2400) for Top Velega then you go down to the Old Hill (2100) where it meets the military road. At this point you turn left or to clear the path or continue along the dirt road. Both options are Top Pertega around and joins the junction of Herrenkohlern (2100). From here, turn right through Val Carnino in fantastic surroundings. We pass a group of buildings Church of St. Dominic) and continue plowing the Gorge Chiusetta. A path, before more technical then sliding into the woods, leading up to Carnino. From here, within a few miles of asphalt will return to Upega.
