Giro impegnativo a quota relativamente bassa ma, con salite di tutto rispetto e discese estremamente tecniche.
ROADBOOK:
Partenza da Avezzano in direzione di Forme, abbiamo seguito la “Panoramica” ma, è possibile raggiungere Forme anche su strerrate ad uso agricolo, di cui la zona è piena.
Si può arrivare a Forme e poi prendere in direzione dei sentieri CAI per il Velino.
Noi abbiamo preferito deviare prima del paese a sinistra per poi incrociare la strada asfaltata in direzione del rifugio Casale da Monte.
Si supera il rifugio e si segue la sterrata fino a “Fonte Canale”, dove comincia una discesa molto impegnativa in direzione di Massa d’Albe.
Prima di raggiungere l’abitato si devia a destra per ricominciare a salire in direzione di Rosciolo zona “Grifoni”.
Raggiunto il valico comincia un’altra discesa mozzafiato che ci porta fino a via Roma in Rosciolo.
Se la seguiamo fino al centro del paese possiamo approfittare del bar sulla piazza. Nel retro del bar c’è una saletta con un balcone da cui si gode di una spettacolosa vista panoramica.
Da via Roma prendiamo per via S.Maria in Valle che ci porta fino ad un incrocio, a destra una ripida e sconnessa sterrata che affrontiamo con difficoltà dovuta al fondo molto sdrucciolevole combinato ad una pendenza tali da costringerci spesso a spingere la bici a piedi.
Si sale fino a quota 1223 e poi si affrontano ben dieci chilometri di discesa, passando per Cartore, fino a quota 732.
Dopo essere passati sotto l’autostrada, all’altezza del punto in cui la sterrata si inserisce sulla SR578, rimaniamo sulla sterrata girando a sinistra, in direzione di S.Anatolia.
Dopo poco raggiungiami via Equicola in S.Anatolia e, percorrendola, attraversiamo il paese.
All’inizio di un tornante verso destra, ci infiliamo in una stradina che sale a sinistra, via dell’Acqua Santa, e dopo 110 metri giriamo a destra.
Seguitiamo per una dura salita, non sempre molto evidente, che ci porta fino ad un altopiano a quota 1060, qui troviamo un bivio e prendiamo a destra per una discesa che ci riporta a Rosciolo.
Passando per il centro e per le viuzze del paese lo oltrepassiamo e lungo la strada asfaltata torniamo ad Avezzano passando per Magliano e per Cappelle.

Giro challenging but relatively low altitude, with climbs and descents highly respected techniques.
ROADBOOK:
out from Avezzano in the direction of shapes, we followed the "Overview", but you can also get forms on strerrate for agricultural purposes, of which the area is full.
You can get to Forms and then take in the direction of CAI for the Velino.
