Zeer mooie tocht rond Heidelberg. De tocht start vanaf Parkhotel Atlantic en voert over technisch lastige singletracks omhoog richting de Koningsstuhl vanwaar je een schitterend uitzicht hebt over Heidelberg. Vergis je niet in de beklimming. Door de rotsachtige paden en de steilheid is deze vermoeiend, en vergt veel kracht. Vanaf de Koningsstuhl gaat het dan naar beneden over toffe singletracks (pas op als het nat is) richting de rivier de Neckar. Daar aangekomen steek je de Neckar over en gaat het richtinge de Philosofenweg, die ten Noorden van de Neckar loopt richting het centrum van Heidelberg. Vanaf hier heb je steeds weer een geweldig uitzicht over Heidelberg. Na de Philosofenweg gaat het een stukje door het centrum van de stad met ook hier weer de nodige technische uitdaging...;-) Vanaf het centrum gaat het weer steil omhoog richting de Koningstuhl, maar deze wordt niet meer volledig beklommen. Vanaf het hoogste punt van deze klim gaat het deels op een leuk pad langs de verharde weg richting het Heidelberger Schloss om vervolgens richting het hotel terug te keren. Very nice tour around Heidelberg. The tour starts from Parkhotel Atlantic and carries on technically challenging singletrack up towards the Koningsstuhl where you have a magnificent view over Heidelberg. Make no mistake in the climb. Because of the rocky trails and the steepness is this tiring, and requires a lot of strength. From Koningsstuhl then goes down on nice singletrack (beware when wet) towards the river Neckar. Once there, you cross the Neckar and turn it straightens the Philosofenweg that north of the Neckar runs towards the center of Heidelberg. From here you have always a great view over Heidelberg. After Philosofenweg the technical challenge ... is it a bit through the center of town with again-) From the center goes steeply up towards the Koningstuhl, but it is not completely climbed. From the highest point of the climb is partial to a nice path along the paved road towards the Heidelberger Schloss and then to the hotel to return.
