Trail Description

Of Lindlar to the castle Gimborn Again, this is an old Tour of Roland, I would like to publish in digital form to the descendants here. Since the original itinerary dates back from 1996, partly paths were no longer available. I had to go twice to make it an almost continuous mobile tour the tour. Despite the fact that the itinerary runs on mostly wide dirt roads and single track portion remains limited, it is quite challenging. Starts in Lindlar at REWE: XL Parking. There you can find a parking space on weekends mostly. From here it goes first on asphalt uphill through the village past and then later on gravel roads through the wall towards honey Hausen (bike park) at the quarry, then downhill towards Heibach. At the campsite, turn right downhill and shortly thereafter again high in the forest. Once at the top in the forest you pass through the Gattertor a short downhill to the scarecrow past and continue in the direction Oberhabbach. Here it goes again uphill, the last 100m must also push the experienced bikers. About Oberlichtinghagen goes & rsquo s to our long-awaited coffee break at the Schlosshotel Gimborn. In warm weather you can sit both on the road in the sun or in the garden behind the house, the cake tastes like home baked and delicious. After the break it & rsquo s back on dirt roads with small trail in the woods back up to the castle ruins Eibach, which is tucked away behind the farm. Next on Kuhlbach after Fenke, where we seek the way through the village, because the original way the quarry is no longer mobile. Next on Eichholz and Oberschümmerich back to Lindlar.
