Trail Description

The Monte Bracco has a large number of forest roads, service roads and trails of the slots, which allow you to do a lot of laps in mtb of various length and difficulty.
Around proposed here is a suggestion rather than complete to explore this beautiful mountain, mentioned by Leonardo da Vinci in his writings, from which it takes its name a path that makes the circumnavigation, at high altitude, the mountain.
The paths and roads are pretty well reported, however, can vary depending on the progress in the upper part of the cave.
route description:
From the village of Barge is initially follows the road to Paesana for a couple of miles, until just before the village Mondarello , where you turn left and immediately begins the tough climb paved. They are about 6 km climb with gradients always over 10%, with peaks well above except kilometer before the Convent of La Trappe, where planes.
Here the asphalt ends, turn right along the perimeter wall of the complex monastic, entering the woods, where he starts to climb with steep slopes. Deviations are omitted secondary, while continuing to rise. At last junction, when the path of climb is impossible, you continue on the dirt road to the right that leads to the area of ??the quarries of Pian del Gias. She wanders around the northern side of the mountain, and with a short climb you come to a collar, a few meters from the Cross by Envie on the summit of Monte Bracco.
Descends along a path that starts with a very steep ramp in the direction of the visible cross Sanfront, and alternate sections of the trail riding other short by foot, the trail crosses a dirt road with a final short beat leads to the picnic area and the Refuge Mulatero. Here you leave the bike and in 10 'you can walk on top of the rock with the huge cross Sanfront in a very panoramic position toward the Po Valley.
Descent:
1. Back on the path forward, then with the ascent of Mount Bracco / cross Envie.
2. From the top, or by following the path of the track attached, you go down the dirt road that now descending towards Sanfront and, still following the signs to the hill of the Rocchetta (or of rocchette depending on the card), you lose altitude with numerous bends.
Then, take a little obvious path on the right (always sign mtb for Rocchetta hill-collection of Paesana) that with some ups and downs and easy path leads up the hill, then the Collection of Paesana.
Just over the pass on the side of Barge, take a small road (sign removed) that, prior parallel to a road, slowly turns into that path easy, back up the dirt of a group of houses, and the path leads back again to the gates of Barge (useful track gps )
