Charakter und Highlights: viele schöne Trails super langer flowiger Trail am Ende (Südweg) schwierigster Wurzeltrail im Fichtelgebirge (Main-Weg) Fichtelsee mit Moorlandschaft viele Aussichtspunkte Schotter-, Stein-, Wald- und Wurzelwege, Teerstraße nur bergauf Beschreibung: Start ist am Marktplatz in Goldkronach (Parkmöglichkeiten vorhanden). Die ersten Kilometer geht's permanent, jedoch in angenehmer Steigung bergauf. Zunächst auf Teerstraße, später auf Schotterwegen durch den Wald, bis oberhalb von Warmensteinach. Hinab nach Warmensteinach zunächst auf Schotterwegen, später auf Trails. Von Warmensteinach weiter nach Fichtelberg. Im Ort muss man zunächst steil bergauf. Im Wald folgt man dem Blaupunktweg, welcher immer wieder auf einem schönen Trail verläuft. In Fichtelberg wieder auf Teerstraße bergauf Richtung Fichtelsee. Auf dem Weg zum See befährt man wieder einen super Trail und kommt an einem Aussichtsfelsen vorbei. Anschließend ein mal um den Fichtelsee und weiter auf dem Seen Weg. Am Ende des Fichtelsees fährt man durch eine Moorlandschaft. Weiter auf dem Seen Weg zum Seehaus-Parkplatz. Jetzt befahren wir ein Stück den Schneeberg, um einen steinigen Trail hinab zum Karches zu befahren. Vom Karches folgt der heftigste Teil der Tour: Der Main Weg. Dies ist ein schmaler Wurzel- und Stein Trail, der es in sich hat. Die gute Nachricht zuerst: er verläuft in super Landschaft direkt neben dem Flusslauf des Weißen Main. Fahrtechnisch ist der Trail jedoch die absolute Härte! Der Weg besteht quasi nur aus Wurzeln mit ein paar Steinen und Steilstufen (hoch und runter). Freunde des Wurzeltrails haben hier die ultimative Herausforderung. Aber auch mit der besten Fahrtechnik werdet ihr immer wieder kurz Absteigen müssen und ein paar (meist nur sehr wenige) Meter schieben oder Tragen. Außerdem bekommen die Waden von den Sträuchern zarte Streicheleinheiten. Wem der Weg doch zu heftig ist, der kann auf dem parallel dazu verlaufenden Schotterweg fahren. Der Trail besteht aus 2 Teilstücken. Der 2. Teil ist nicht mehr so heftig wie der erste. Man kann auch nur den 2. befahren. Dazu zunächst dem Schotterweg folgen. Eines noch zum dem Main-Weg-Trail: nur bei trockenen Bodenverhältnissen fahren! Der Trail endet in Bischofsgrün. Im Ort wieder auf Teerstraße bergauf in den Wald. Dort auf Schotterwegen weiter bis man die Straße nach Fleckl kreuzt. Jetzt zunächst auf einem Trail und dann wieder auf Schotterwegen, bis man das Highlight für Jedermann erreicht. Den letzten Trail (Südweg) Richtung Goldkronach. Dies ist der längste Trail der Tour. Ein wunderschöner schmaler und flowiger Trail durch den Wald, stets leicht bergab. Hinab in den Ort zum Ausgangspunkt ist der Trail noch mal etwas steiler. Die 5***** für die Fahrtechnik kommen aufgrund des Wurzeltrails zustande.
