Trail Description

We park on a hiker parking lot just before Hohenschwangau. From here the tour starts one piece along the Alpsee on the Alpseestrasse. It's comfortable on asphalt up into the leaves forest that already has a powerful autumn. Everything from green to dark brown is on offer, looks really great, especially if the flat-lying sun shines into the foliage of the trees ... Part of this route is identical to the recently driven Säuling circumnavigation. We Radln past the inn Schluxen and biking then parallel along the Fernpaßstrasse on a separate fine gravelly bike path. In this section we make about 300 hm until the beginning of the driveway along the forest road to Duerrenberg Alm. At the Fernpassstrasse lies on this route a hiker parking lot to walk through directly. From this one can for example go up to the Säuling, this should be something lighter version of the ascent. We have also made early in the year 2013, but from a different location in Pflach. Our route then includes the somewhat arduous variant, but the reward is in the scenic charm. From the Säulinghaus (hm 900) up to the top, it is worth the effort in any case. The driveway with the bike itself is unspectacular. The sun shines on us meisst nice and warm and it has this time of year with astonishing force. The slope is the first 100 hm between 13% and 17%. Then it gets a little flatter and consistently 8-10%. The total 500 hm to Alm are hinaufgekurbelt quickly and we get & nbsp; equal to a free table. As always, many people are up here, no wonder with this beautiful weather and 19 °; in the shade. The heat pump called hair dryer makes it stop, as it often is possible ... :) We spend a good time we let the food and the taste Woizn, the obligatory shot glass liquor from the host also. Then it's back again. The round trip are identical.
