Kraslice - Rotava - Rotava vlakové nádraží - Horní Studenec - Kraslice Dnes jsme vyrazili opet smerem na Novou ves, ale než jsme tam dojeli, odbocili jsme vpravo, na zrejme nedávno opravenou (pomerne hrubá šotolina - vlastne spíše makadam) lesní cestu, a z ní pozdeji na lesní, po které jsme sjeli do Rotavy. Odtud jsme pokracovali v klesání po kamenité zelené TZ na vlakové nádraží Rotava, abychom si užili stoupání na Horní Studenec, z nehož je díky jeho poloze videt snad do všech stran. Dále z H. Studence po modré TZ okolo prírodního parku. Pak jsme se ale zasekli na podmácených blátivých lesních cestách nad Libocí a nakonec zcela zazdili v podmácené louce, hledajíce žlutou TZ pod Snežnou. Vrátili jsme se tedy na Frankovy domy a do Kraslic jsme už za tmy sjeli po hladkém. Sjezd po žluté TZ ze Snežné do Kraslic budeme muset zkusit nekdy príšte. Kraslice (nemecky Graslitz) je menší mesto ležící v okrese Sokolov, v západní cásti Krušných hor, nadmorská výška 525 m n. m. Mesto a jeho okolí (Bublava, Stríbrná) je významným strediskem zimních sportu. Mesto je strediskem textilního prumyslu a sídlí zde též firma Amati, ceský výrobce dechových hudebních nástroju. Pri firme Amati existuje též strední prumyslová škola a strední odborné ucilište, které jsou svým zamerením jediné v republice. Mesto leží na železnicní trati c. 145 Sokolov - Klingenthal, osobní dopravu zajištuje spolecnost GW Train Regio a.s. Oblast na horním toku reky Svatavy a Libockého potoka byla postupne osídlována nemeckými zemedelci už od poloviny 12. století. Osada byla povýšena na mesto až Karlem IV. v roce 1370, podle nejž se mely Kraslice stát základnou na trase do Durynska, která vedla pres Karlovy Vary a saský Schöneck. Dalším duvodem povýšení byl císaruv zájem o rozvoj težby stríbra v této oblasti. V roce 1541 získaly Kraslice titul svobodného hornického mesta a od této doby používají písmeno G ve svém mestském znaku. Tricetiletou válku prežily Kraslice díky své poloze a ochranné listine celkem dobre a byly ušetreny i pustošení švédských a císarských vojisek. V roce 1666 získává mesto od svobodných pánu ze Schönburku silne katolický hrabe Hans Hartwig von Nostitz a zavádí zde protireformaci, která do té doby na rozdíl od zbytku Cech zde probehla neúspešne. V kvetnu 1671 povolává hrabe Nostitz mladého duchovního ze Sokolova a zakládá v Kraslicích katolickou faru, rozpouští luteránské mestské zastupitelství a nahrazuje ho katolickým. Témer veškeré obyvatelstvo bylo nuceno prestoupit ke katolicismu nebo se vystehovat. Valná vetšina po pocátecním odporu nakonec pristoupila ke zmene náboženství.
