Trail Description

Tourendatum: 30.08.2013 Tourencharakter: Landschaftlich sehr schöne, abwechslungsreiche Runde von Olang weg; Auffahrt Furkelpass auf Asphalt; Auffahrt durchs Fojedöratal auf Sand und ziemlich steil, oben Schiebestrecke (ca. 250 Hm); Trail vom Kreuzjoch ins Lärchental anfangs flach und traumhaft schön; zwischendurch ca. 150 Hm sehr steil (Schieben), dann wieder flacher und gut fahrbar; ab Alte Kaser wieder Fahrwege und Radweg zurück zum PP. Einkehrmöglichkeit: Grünwaldalm vor dem Pragser Wildsee Tourenverlauf: 1. Etappe: PP Olang (Sportplatz, ca. 1025) - Furkelpass (1759); ca. 10km, ca.800 Hm Anstieg, 400Hm Abfahrt, ca. 5km. Tour Date: 30/08/2013 Type of tour: scenically very beautiful and varied round of Olang away; Furkelpass on asphalt driveway; Driveway through Fojedöratal on sand and quite steep, above sliding distance (about 250 meters in altitude); Trail from Kreuzjoch into Lärchental initially flat, like a dream; between 150 Hm very steep (Slide), then flat and good to ride; from Old Kaser back routes and cycle back to PP. Refreshments: Grünwaldalm before the & nbsp; Braies Itinerary: 1st stage: PP Olang (sports field, about 1025) - Furkelpass (1759); 10km, about 800 Hm rise, 400Hm departure, about 5km. From the PP first briefly direction Niederolang down, then turn left towards Mittelolang and soon again & nbsp; Furkelsattel right direction. Over Under Muhlbach on side street, & nbsp; which leads back to the Furkelpassstraße, shortly after the station of the Lorenzibahn to Kronplatz, just above the PP ever further into the valley along the Furkelbach direction Bad Berg case. Just before bath Bergfall right back to Furkelpassstraße and on this up to the pass (1759). Beyond the pass, short down, then turn left on dirt road under the lift, onwards to St. Vigil down. & Nbsp; ago a beautiful crossroads (1650) & nbsp; turn left and continue downhill to about 1400m. Stage 2: Fojedöratal-Kreuzjoch (about 900Hm increase, approximately 6km) in about 1400m left on flat road towards Fojedöra and turn up on the sand road (official bike ban?!) In the forest increasingly steep the lonely valley. You win when the slope height quickly, but costs also neat force until the trail above about 2000m steepens so strong that hardly anyone here can stay in the saddle. So about 30 minutes Slide to the Cross Pass & nbsp; (2283) & nbsp; go up. Up there, one has then a & nbsp; deserved rest and & nbsp; may enjoy the beautiful view. Stage 3: Trail into Lärchental - Old Kaser - Braies - Olang (. Approx 600Hm trail descent, about 5km to Old Kaser; then most roadways and bicycle paths back, Hm (ab) ca.700Hm, ca.27 km) from kreuzjoch performs a beautiful, shallow Trail (# 24) & nbsp; over to Lärchental. In some exposed sections caution (risk of falling); after admission to Lärchental ends below the Grünwaldjoches the nice flat piece, turn left and steep trail no. Braies to 25 below. The first 150 Hm are very steep, who wants to leave no floor damage or is not as technically savvy, & nbsp; pushes prefer. Then the trail levels off and is good to ride; the crossing of a large debris field can something & quot; Desert Feeling & quot; rise and & nbsp; loosens the driving pleasure on something else before the green valley floor on a beautiful meadow trail & nbsp; achieved Old Kaser (1751), at the & nbsp. Passes to the gorgeous Lake Braies; From here a road which at the Grünwaldalm (1590) & nbsp begins again. On the shore of the lake to the hotel Braies, after passing a bridge just to the left on an initially partially rooty forest trail out of the valley. This approach is increasingly better and wider and opens into a sand road on which you drive further down the valley. It will reach the asphalt road that leads to forging, where you turn left and on the well-marked bike route goes towards Bruneck. After Olang reservoir on the bike path Oberolang and Mittelolang leads back to PP close under Olang.
