Noch ein Klassiker im oberen Paznauntal der zur Heilbronner Hütte führt. Auf dem Parkplatz in Wirl geht es los. Zuerst auf Asphalt zum Zeinisjoch hoch. Kaum ist man oben wechselt man das Bundesland und überquert die Europäische Hauptwasserscheide zwischen Rhein und Donau. Der weitere Weg folgt einem Forstweg am Campingplatz vorbei. Danach etwas unbequem auf der Straße bis zum Parkplatz über der Staumauer des Kops Stausees. Das Panorama ist prächtig. Es folgt ein kleines Stück bergab bevor dann der Anstig auf einer Schotterstraße in Richting Heilbronner Hütte beginnt. Eine grandiose und abwechslungsreiche Landschaft verkürtzt den Anstieg. In der Verbella Alpe gibt es zur Stärkung unter Anderem auch tagesaktuelle Milch. Die braucht man auch um die anschließenden Serpentinen zu schaffen. Der Aufschwung beeindruckt ein wenig wenn man vor der Alpe herumlungert. Ist diese Stufe überwunden öffnet sich das Hochtal bis zur Hütte. Davor ist allerdings der Hüttenschlauch zu erkennen der richtig steil zur Hütte hochgeht. Eine echte Herausforderung. Der Service auf der Jamtalhütte schlägt den auf derHeilbronner Hütte um Längen. Landschaftlich ist diese Tour aber klar besser. Der Rückweg ist bis zum Ender der Schotterstraße gleich. Danach folgt ein kurzer Anstieg bis wir zur Staumauer abgebogen sind. Die Wege um den Kops Stausee lohnen sich zu fahren. Schmal und schön. Weil wir unsere Räder nicht über den Alpkogel tragen wollten fuhrren wir wieder auf dem bekannten Weg zur Wasserscheide. Danach fuhren wir auf der Straße fast ungebremst ab. Von Wirl bis nach Kappl rollten wir auf dem Talweg runter. Totale Entspannung bis ich kurz vor dem Radtunnel zwischen Ischgl und Galtür bei einem Sprint mein Ritzel zeriss. Am nächsten Tag hatte ich Pause.
