Mit dieser Tour durchqueren wir das „Land der Bigouden“ von Plozevet bis an die Spitze von La Torche. Der Rundkurs fasst mehrere MTB-Touren zusammen, deren offizielle Karten (von der Association Ouest Cornouaille Promotion) bei den diversen „Office de Tourisme“ für 3,80 EUR erworben werden können. „12 circuits VTT“ (MTB-Touren) mit ca. 400 [km] Gesamtlänge sind in der Cornouaille befahrbar. Man sollte sich möglichst auf den vorgegebenen Wegen und Trails halten und spontane Querfeldeinfahrten vermeiden, da auch nicht umzäunter Privatbesitz bei den Bretonen respektiert werden sollte. Nicht wenige bretonische Landwirte halten sich ungewöhnlich scharfe Wachhunde. Aber auch die vorgegebenen Rundkurse machen viel Spaß! Unsere Tour hat besonders in den frühen Morgenstunden ihre Reize. Zunächst geht’s an der Küste der Baie d’Audierne entlang und dann in’s Landesinnere durch das Naturschutzgebiet und Vogelreservat „Etang de Kergalan“ und „Etang de Trunvel“ bis zu einem wuchtigen Relikt des Atlantikwalls (Kieswerk mit Schutzwall und Bunkeranlagen, s.a. Bild 2) in der Nähe von Kergoullec. Wir umfahren den „Etang de St-Vio“ und kommen an der reizvollen Chapelle de St-Evy vorbei auf die Straße nach Méjou Roz. Kurz vorher biegen wir rechts ab in Richtung Ie Stang und dann geradeaus weiter bis an’s Meer. Dieser Weg durch die sandige Dünenlandschaft ist schön, aber anstrengend, auch weil die vom Morgentau nasse Kette zusammen mit dem Sand ordentlich knirscht. Wer sich das sparen will, sollte den Track abkürzen. Auf leicht sandigen, aber festen Trails geht’s auf die Pointe de la Torche (wo morgens noch nicht soviel los ist). Die Aussicht über die Baie d’Audierne ist phantastisch. Der Rückweg führt in’s Landesinnere nach Notre-Dame de Tronoan mit dem ältesten Kalvarienberg der Bretagne (aus dem Jahr 1450 n.Chr.). Die Steinfiguren sind im Lauf der Zeit vom salzigen Wind verwittert und sind in jedem Fall eine Unterbrechung wert. Wir fahren weiter über Ie Stang und von hinten (über einen kleinen Holzsteg) an der Chapelle de St-Evy vorbei durch Kerbascol bis wir nach einiger Asphalt- und schließlich schöner Trailstrecke am „Etang de Trunvel“ unseren Hinweg kreuzen. Der Track macht einen kleinen Umweg über Tréogat, um an den Waschplätzen des Mannschaftsheims am dortigen Fussballplatz das Bike vom gallischen Sand-Schlamm-Gemisch zu reinigen. Über Tourne-Ici radeln wir auf Asphalt an der Chapelle de Languidou vorbei über Plovan und Penhors bis zum „Menhir des Droits de l’Homme“ (Hinkelstein der Menschenrechte). Den dortigen Parkplatz kann man auch als Start-/Endpunkt der Tour nehmen. „Links“ erscheinen im Text unterstrichen in ockerfarbiger Schrift.

With this tour we cross the "Land of Bigouden" of Plozevet up to the top of La Torche. The circuit combines multiple MTB tours whose official cards can be purchased (by the Association Ouest Cornwall PhD) at the various "Office de Tourisme" for 3.80 EUR. "12 circuits VTT" (MTB tours) with 400 [km] Total length are passable in Cornwall. It should be possible to maintain the predetermined paths and trails and avoid spontaneous cross-country runs, as well as unenclosed private property should be respected by the Bretons. Quite a few Breton farmers keep unusually sharp watchdogs. But also the prescribed circular trips a lot of fun! Our tour has its charms, especially in the early morning hours. First you go to the coast of the Baie d'Audierne along and then in's inland through the nature reserve and bird sanctuary "Etang de Kergalan" and "Etang de Trunvel" up to a massive relic of the Atlantic Wall (Gravel with ramparts and bunkers, see also Figure 2) in near Kergoullec. We have avoided the "Etang de St-Vio" and come to the beautiful Chapelle de St-Evy by on the road to Méjou Roz. Shortly before we turn right towards Ie Stang and then straight down to the sea. This route through the sandy dunes landscape is beautiful, but exhausting, partly because the wet from the morning dew chain properly crunches along with the sand. Who wants to save, should shorten the track. On slightly sandy, but firm trails you go to the Pointe de la Torche (where the morning not much is going on). The view over the Baie d'Audierne is fantastic. The way back leads in's inland to Notre-Dame de Tronoan with the oldest Calvary Brittany (from the year 1450 AD.). The stone figures are weathered over time by the salty wind and are definitely worth a break. We continue on Ie Stang and back (over a small wooden bridge) at the Chapelle de St-Evy passed by Kerbascol until we after some asphalt and finally beautiful trail course at the "Etang de Trunvel" cross our way there. The track makes a small detour via Tréogat to clean in the washing areas of the home team at the local football pitch the bike from the Gallic sand-sludge mixture. About Tourne-Ici we ride on asphalt at the Chapelle de Languidou over over Plovan and Penhors to "Droits de l'Homme of menhir" (menhir of Human Rights). The local parking is available either as a start / end point of the tour. "Links" appear in the text underlined in ocher-colored font.
