Von Großmaischeid geht es auf einem kurzen Stück Straße und dann über Forstwege (Keine Forstautobahn) ins Sayntal. Nach einigen Metern am Saynbach entlang geht es auf der anderen Seite wieder Bergauf. Über angenehme Strecken im Wald geht es über Wirscheid, an Alsbach vorbei zur Burgruine Grenzau. Diese kann an Sams- und Sonntagen auch von Innen besichtigt werden. Weiter geht’s auf Wald- und Wanderwegen an Grenzau und Höhr-Grenzhausen vorbei Richtung Köppel. Der gemäßigte Anstieg über 350m lässt sich auf den überwiegend guten Waldwegen angenehm fahren. Nach einem kurzen Singletrail geht es über Waldwege In Richtung Montabaur. Über ein paar Nebenstraßen gelangt man an den Hang unter dem Schloss und kann diesen auf Wanderwegen mit dem Rad erklimmeen. An Ransbach-Baumbach vorbei landet man in Wittgert und durchquert erneut das Sayntal. Nach einem kräftigen Anstieg über eins der wenigen geteerten Stücke auf der Strecke kommt man nach Stebach, passiert den dortigen Weiher und fährt durch den Wald zurück nach Großmaischeid.

From Großmaischeid it goes on a short stretch of road and then on forest roads (No forest highway) into Sayntal. After a few meters at the Saynbach along it goes to the other side uphill. About pleasant routes in the forest it's all about Wirscheid to Alsbach over to the ruins of BTA. These can be visited on Saturdays and Sundays also from the inside. Goes on & rsquo s on forest and hiking trails at BTA and Höhr-Grenzhausen past direction Koppel. The moderate increase over 350m can be driven comfortably on the mostly good forest roads. After a short singletrack it goes along forest tracks in the direction Montabaur. About a few side streets to get to the hillside below the castle and these can erklimmeen on trails by bike. At Ransbach-Baumbach past one lands in Wittgert and crosses again the Sayntal. After a sharp rise over one of the few paved tracks on the route to get to Stebach, passes the local pond and runs through the forest back to Großmaischeid.
