Eccomi di nuovo in terra elvetica, questa volta il punto di partenza è Mendrisio con destinazione Bellavista, stazione intermedia della ferrovia che da Capolago sale in cima al Monte Generoso. Dislivello di circa 900 metri da coprire esclusivamente su asfalto, partendo da Mendrisio (328 mt/s.l.m.) ed arrivando a Bellavista (1.221 mt/s.l.m.). La ferrovia sarà una costante della salita e quindi … si parte dalla stazione delle Ferrovie Svizzere di Mendrisio(parcheggio a pagamento nelle vicinanze) Spalle alla stazione, prendete la strada (via Motta) che parte in salita di fronte a voi e tenendo la sx, attraversate il centro (nella zona pedonale di Corso Bello è consentito il traffico alle biciclette). Arrivati in Piazza Soldati (fine della zona pedonale), girate a dx e dopo un centinaio di metri girate a sx su Via Industria. La strada si inerpica (punta del 13%) per circa 1,5 km e quando si addolcisce girate a sx seguendo le indicazioni Bellavista/Salorino.
