Seta is a small vilage approx 15klm from Amarinthos in Evia.The route that was created by (Vardousia 1969) included an old forest road that has been partly damaged by landslides due to heavy rain bringing debris while flowing down the mountain. This forest road ends in the small settlement of Makropoulo. Once a small village with a school established in 1960 but now almost destroyed as it seems abandoned for more than 10 years.From Makropoulo at an altitude of 300m and up to the rocks of Xirovouni at 1150 there is a steep 8 kilometer climb with incredable views.On the way back to Seta there are parts of the road completely washed away by the heavy rain during the winter
This route can be followed by mtbikers, hikers or enduro motorcyclists.Take drinking water to last throughout the entire route.Food in Seta, reasonably good.Photos: See all pictures and videos from Evia-Seta
