Il percorso è diviso in tre parti: corto Km.15 , medio Km.19 lungo Km 30 con dislivello in salita di 850 mt. Il tracciato che si snoda nella porzione meridionale del Comune di Manciano è adatto sia agli appassionati di mtb agli amanti dei trekking nonché per le escursioni a cavallo. Partendo dal parcheggio situato in Via Martiri della Libertà si percorre P.za D.Alighieri, Cia Circ. Sud immettndosi in Via delle Fonti per uscire dal centro abitato. Per un tratto di circa un chilometro, il percorso si accavalla con quello segnalato dalla provincia di Grosseto per poi dividersi .Da qui, dopo un tratto di strada in pianura, si scende sino al torrente “Elsarella” e dopo 500 metri si gira a sinistra verso la fattoria “Poggio Foco”.Oltrepassata questa, dopo circa 300 metri, il percorso si divide: a sinistra verso il percorso corto (in questo tratto si raggiunge il “Lago Scuro” interessante sito per la sosta di uccelli acquatici.Proseguendo invece diritto sulla strada asfaltata, il percorso giunge alla SP 67 “della Campigliola”, si gira a sinistra e dopo aver percorso la suddetta strada per un chilometro, sulla destra, ci immette su una strada vicinale che viene percora per 2 chilometri.Qui il percorso si divide di nuovo: a sinistra per il percorso medio che raggiunge la meta di Manciano con un tempo di 1 ora e 30 minuti , mentre proseguendo a destra ci si incammina per il percorso lungo ( da qui alla meta 3 ore e 30 inuti) e dopo una salita impegnativa di 500 metri, si passa in mezzo ai boschi “del Pelagone” famosi per la caccia soprattutto del cinghiale.Sul sentiero s’incontra il rudere del castello di Scarceta conosciuto anche come “Castellaccio del Pelagone” costruzione risalente all’inizio del XIII secolo.Il percorso raggiunge la SP n. 32 “ Manciano-Farnese” si gira a destra e dopo 200 mt a sinistra.Da qui in avanti si percorre la valle del Fiume Fiora, un’area che per le sue caratteristiche naturali è stata inserita nel SIR “Alto corso del fiume Fiora” . Qui si trovano anche i resti del villaggio preistorico di Scarceta e quelli di una centrale idroelettrica di recente ristrutturazione risalente al 1898. Superata la valle del fiume Fiora la strada prosegue in salita per 3,5 chilometri e 200 mt dopo aver superato L’agriturismo “Le Secchete”, in fondo alla discesa si gira a sinistra , si percorre la strada per 2 chilometri , girando poi a destra su una strada che ritorna sulla SP n. 37.Dopo 500 mt. si raggiunge la meta .
The route is divided into three parts: short Km.15, medium Km.19 30 Km long with altitude difference of 850 meters. The track that winds through the southern portion of the City of Manchester is suitable for both mountain bike enthusiasts to lovers of hiking and for horseback riding. Starting from the parking lot located in Via Martyrs of Liberty go along P.za D.Alighieri, Circ Cia. South immettndosi in Via delle Fonti to get out of town. For a stretch of about a kilometer, the route overlaps with that reported from the province of Grosseto and then split .From here, after a stretch of road in the plains, you descend to the river "Elsarella" and after 500 meters turn left to the farm "Poggio Foco" .Oltrepassata this, after about 300 meters, the path splits left towards the short route (in this stretch you reach the "Dark Lake" interesting site for the parking of birds instead acquatici.Proseguendo law on the asphalt road, the path reaches the SP 67 "of Campigliola", turn left and after covering the above-mentioned road for one kilometer, on the right, leads us on a local road which is percora for 2 chilometri.Qui the route divides again left to the middle path that reaches the goal of Manchester with a time of 1 hour and 30 minutes while continuing to the right we walk for the long path (hence the goal 3 hours and 30 inutes) and after a challenging climb of 500 meters, you will pass in the middle of "Pelagone woods" famous for hunting especially the cinghiale.Sul path we meet the ruins of the castle Scarceta also known as "the Castellaccio Pelagone" building dating from the early XIII secolo.Il path reaches the SP. 32 'Manciano-Farnese "turn right and after 200 mt to left.From henceforth take the Fiora River valley, an area that for its natural features has been included in the SIR" High river Fiora " . This is also where the remains of the prehistoric village of Scarceta and those of a hydroelectric plant recently restored dating back to 1898.
