Trail Description

Report Grumbacher Cycle Tour 2013 We used the Grumbacher bike ride as team training for the 24-Heavy-Chemnitz-2013. We took the very demanding fitness round (38km). It is not a bike race (without the time). Start clock was 10:00 at the sports ground in Grumbach. Estimated 60 drivers have track in claim genommen.Das weather was great after the recent rain-days. Sunshine and about 15-17 degrees. After just a few kilometers was to determine which is no picnic. In the forest it was tw. extremely wet and the roads, driving through mud and ruts it had in itself. Until Schmalzgrube it runs relatively relaxed. Add Jöhstadt the slope there was still snow !!! In Schmalzgrube it goes extremely steep uphill to the forest. Which it goes up on the Erzgebirgskamm (direction of association). Then a descent to Steinbach. It goes uphill again and at the turning point is the aid station. The descent into Preßnitztal is not without. Waterlogged roads tw. Meadow, tw. slippery leaves. In Preßnitztal arrived it goes steeply uphill to Grumbach. At the top it goes back down to Schmalzgrube, on a path that demands everything of driving skills. On the Preßnitztal bike trail we head Jöhstand and finally up again after Grumbach goal. A constant uphill downhill. To enjoy the beautiful Erzgebirge is not much time. Conclusion: - very sophisticated - with a cycling tour has to do the less ... here fighting spirit and commitment is required - Organizational still reserves (website / Program / Start / Finish / PA) - best against: the routes are well signposted For the first cycling event we are very satisfied as a team. Chrisi was the first at the finish.
