Conviene partire da Abbadia L. o Mandello e proseguire lungo al SS 36 (fino a che non finiranno la pista ciclabile) fino alle porte di Lecco: prendere la prima strada a sinistra (passaggio sotto la ferrovia) e cominciare a portarsi lungo i quartieri più alti. In località S.Giovanni, lungo al vecchia strada di collegamento con la Valsassina,nei pressi del ristorante il Porticciolo, svoltare a sinistra per la ripida via Montalbano/via Monterobbio e seguirla fino alla fine. Raggiunto un ripetitore Rai imboccare una stretta via sulla destra che prima su asfalto e poi su sterrato conduce sino a Ballabio passando nei pressi del ristorante Montalbano. Ora raggiungere i Piani dei Resinelli con salita regolare. La discesa comincia proprio presso la chiesetta:imboccare sulla destra la strada asfaltata quasi pianeggiante all'inzio e cominciare a scendere, costeggiando il tormentato versante W della Grignetta. Dall'asfalto si passa al cemento e poi allo sterrato per poi finire in un bel sentierino nei pressi della baita Colonghei. Seguirlo sempre a mezzacosta ignorando tutte le deviazioni a sinistra (in due tratti la traccia presenta due piccoli errori di percorso) e tenendo come riferimento le indicazioni per Rongio/Mandello: purtroppo il sentiero in alcuni tratti è impraticabile e obbliga a scendere di sella. Con bel single tarck finale si raggiunge Mandello alta, in località Rongio:da qui portarsi sulal strada litoranea e ritornare al punto di partenza.

Follow him always hillside ignoring all the deviations to the left (in two places the track has two small errors in the path) and taking as a guideline for Rongio / Mandello Unfortunately the trail is impassable in some sections and agrees to dismount. With beautiful single tarck final Mandello you reach high places in Rongio From here take sulal coastal road and return to the starting point.
