Trail Description

Itinerario molto bello e appagante.

A beautiful route and rewarding.
Starting from Lake Caccamo climb up to Pievefavera. Here to stock up on water.
From Pievefavera continue taking the road that leads up to the repeaters Rai.
The climb is long but not particularly difficult.
In a bend, leave the paved road and take a grassy track that climbs straight up the mountainside to the church of St. Mary Magdalene (steep in places but all in the saddle)
Arrived at the church we take the path down towards San Maroto (directions)
The descent is very long and challenging part.
beautiful is the scenery from the cliffs of San Maroto
went down to the valley bottom, take the road up to shouldering Sfercia before recovering to Valdiea. Once in Valdiea take the path that leads behind the church in the country until Fiungo and from there to Valcimarra.
From Valcimarra will return to the starting point along the smooth asphalt road that runs along the Lake Caccamo.
< br> Happy cycling !!!!
VARIATION: When you get up repeaters go on an easy forest (non-binding) to the church of St. Mary Magdalene
VARIANT: The long climb proposal (paved in the first part) can be avoided by taking the steep path that starts behind the church Pievefavera and that goes directly to a wooden cross that marks the turnoff to the shelter Valdiea (slope steeper than 20% of fund); From here you continue uphill for another 500/600 meters before turning right and continue towards San Maroto.
