Surrele è il nome dell'ononima fontana al punto più al NE sulla strada panoramica sopra Santa Maria, se continui poi scendi ciò che su google maps è indicata come via Monte Tundus. Le coord Google sono 39.996389 9.693418. Carica la traccia GPS, si tratta del WP DX STERRATAIl percorso inizia al Bar Belvedere di Baunei, salendo la SS125 in direzione nord per poi virare a destra e salire i tornanti, sempre sull’asfalto, alla località Su Idile (punto di lancio parapendio) che sovrasta Baunei e la piana di Tortolì, da cui si gode un panorama bellissimo sul Golfo di Arbatax. Si vira poi a destra su sterrata, per affrontare una prima discesa singletrack di difficoltà S1 con un tratto di S2 (Singletrail-Skala STS) per scendere alla strada asfaltata che dalla SS125 porta a Pedra Longa. Si attraversa l’asfalto per iniziare una ripida salita su sterrata, ma sempre pedalabile, per salire 180m fino alla località Locorbu (vecchia cava), dove inizia il secondo tratto di singletrack, una discesa All-Mountain di 3,3 km con un dislivello in discesa di 400 m da Locorbu a Sa Contralba, poi fino alla località SURRELE. (In alternativa, una facile sterrata scende a destra dall’inizio della salita a Locorbu a Sa Contralba). Download the GPS track, this is the WP DX STERRATAIl route begins at the Bar Belvedere of Baunei, climbing the SS125 going north and then turn right and go up the switchbacks, always on the asphalt, to the Su Idile (point of launch paragliding) overlooking the plain of Baunei and Tortolì, which offers a beautiful view of the Gulf of Arbatax. It then turns right onto a dirt road, to face a first S1 difficulty singletrack descent with a section S2 (Singletrail-Skala STS) to go down to the asphalt road that leads to the SS125 Pedra Longa. You cross the asphalt to begin a steep climb on dirt, but always pedaled, to climb 180m to the village Locorbu (old quarry), where he began the second stretch of singletrack, an All-Mountain descent of 3.3 km with a vertical drop in 400 m downhill from Locorbu Sa Contralba, then to the village SURRELE.
