Kurze knackige Tour ins Ahrtal. Vor der Abfahrt ins Tal (etwa bei km 5.5) kann man den schönsten Ausblick auf Mayschoß und Saffenburg genießen! Die Abfahrt danach ist ein extrem steiler Singletrail und auch die folgende Abfahrt durch den Weinberg übersteht man nur mit guten Bremsen! Danach über den Radweg an der Ahr und den Weinbergen entlang durch den ca 300 m langen Saffenburgtunnel (ehemaliger Bahntunnel) nach Altenahr. Das Stück im Ahrtal ist gerade im Herbst zur Zeit der Weinlese sehr hübsch. Leider von km 11 bis km 14 auf der Kreisstraße, da es hier keine andere Möglichkeit zum biken gibt. Am Ortsausgang Altenahr geht's wieder aufwärts an der Martinshütte vorbei auf Waldwirtschaftswegen durch ein Wildgehege mit vielen Wildschweinen! Übrigens: So ein freilaufender Schwarzkittel an der Strecke ohne Zaun zwischen Tier und Biker macht auch bergauf auf Schotter ganz schön flotte Beine ;-) Oben auf dem Berg geht's durch Kalenborn zurück zum Parkplatz. Hinweis: Der Streckenabschnitt vor der Abfahrt und die Abfahrt durch die Weinberge selbst ist teils eng und super steil (ab km 5.5). Nix für Weicheier und nur mit gehörigem Respekt zu fahren (auf der rechten Seite geht's halt 200m im freien Fall nach unten). Zwischendurch sind auch Steigungen von ca 20 Prozent zu bewältigen. Am Wochenende sollte die Tour nicht gefahren werden, es sind dann zuviel Wanderer unterwegs!

Short crisp tour to Ahr Valley. Before the descent into the valley (at about 5.5 km) you can enjoy the best view of Mayschoß and Saffenburg! The descent is then an extremely steep single track and the following descent through the vineyard you can survive only with good brakes! Then on the bike path along the river Ahr and the vineyards along by the ca 300 m long Saffenburgtunnel (former railway tunnel) to Altenahr. The piece in the Ahr valley is very pretty, especially in autumn when the harvest. Unfortunately, from km 11 to km 14 on the county road, because there is no other way to biking here. On the outskirts Altenahr's looking up again at the Martin cottage over on forest service roads through a game reserve with many wild boars! By the way: So a free-running black coat at the track without a fence between animal and bikers also makes uphill on gravel quite brisk legs;-) On top of the mountain you go through Kalenborn back to the parking lot. Note: The section in front of the exit and exit through the vineyard itself is partly narrow and super steep (from km 5.5). Nothing for wimps and just drive with due respect (on the right side It's just 200m in free fall). In between, also gradients of about 20 percent can be managed. On weekends, the tour should not be driven, it is then too much hikers go!
