Trail Description


Traccia con tutto ciò che c'è di bello nei dintorni di Alba direzione sud-est bassa langa, con due delle più lunghe discese in zona.

Partenza Alba o Ricca di Diano d'alba, in direzione S.rocco si sale subito su ripida asfaltata a sinistra, seguendo la traccia passato un agriturismo il fondo diventa sterrato, sale ancora fino a ricongiungersi con la provinciale, si prosegue in direzione cappelletto, da qui a destra si prende una bella carreccia sterrata e con sali scendi si percorre qualche tratto boschivo, nuovamente poi su asfalto dopo un agriturismo, si ritorna sulla provinciale e subito a destra su sentiero poco evidente tra i noccioleti, si continua a salire, si passa una cappella e si arriva in cresta all'inizio della bella discesa di Sant'Elena, terminata la discesa al fondo c'è una fontana.
Si prosegue su asfalto nel fondovalle per 1400 metri e si piega a destra su strada ripida, si tiene sempre la destra (possibile variante in salita a sinistra) ci si ritrova in un tratto boschivo con pendenze mai troppo elevate e si arriva in località San Bovo, da qui a destra per il tratto in cresta tutto in fuoristrada, si passa poi la frazione Pavaglione, si sale ancora, sempre su tratto boschivo si piega a sinistra verso un punto panoramico-informativo, si prosegue e si scende su un breve singletrack per ritrovarsi sulla provinciale, da qui breve discesa asfaltata fino alla frazione Montemarino e poi a sinistra, in salita, si prosegue in mezzo a una azienda agricola, si sale per poco per poi inoltrarsi in un bel tratto boschivo, da qui ho fatto un giro ad anello, si può evitare accorciando piegando subito a destra come in traccia GPS, altrimenti si prosegue con saliscendi nel bosco, si raggiunge un punto panoramico e poi una breve e bella discesa, si piega poi a sinistra su sterrata larga e si prosegue risalendo poi per 800mt. su asfalto in salita, si ritorna nuovamente nel tratto in fuoristrada percorso in discesa si sale ancora e si piega a sinistra su bellissimo single track in discesa, si ragiunge l'asfalto e si prosegue in direzione Benevello, da qui oltre il paese 1km e mezzo di asfalto per poi girare a sinistra su sterrato ampio e panoramico, si continua su sterrato per poi salire in località ferreri, da qui sempre in salita si raggiunge il punto più elevato del giro a 720mt. nei pressi di antenne e ripetitori, si scende a sinistra poi a destra in un noccioleto, breve tratto su asfalto per poi prendere la sterrata in salita in località Valgaia, da qui inizia una bella discesa fino a raggiungere il fondovalle e la frazione S.Rocco e Ricca di Diano d'alba.

Continue on asphalt in the valley 1400 meters and turn right on steep road, it always keeps the right (possible variation in slope on the left) you find yourself in a wooded tract with slopes never too high and it gets in San Bovo, from here to the right for the section on the ridge all off-road, you pass then the fraction Pavaglione, go up again, always on wooded tract bends left to a vantage point and informative, you go and you go on a short singletrack to find themselves on the provincial, hence short descent to the hamlet Montemarino tarred and then left, uphill, continue in the middle of a farm, you salt for just then advancing in a beautiful wooded tract, hence I made a round trip, you can avoid shortening by folding immediately to the right as in the GPS track, otherwise it continues with ups and downs in the woods, you will reach a lookout point and then a short and nice downhill, then bends to the left on a dirt road wide and then continues up to 800m. on asphalt uphill, you return to the off-road path downhill stretch on uphill and turn left on beautiful single track downhill, you reach by the asphalt and continue in the direction Benevello, hence beyond the village 1km and a half asphalt and then turn left on dirt spacious and panoramic, we continue on a dirt road and then climb in places ferreri, hence always uphill, you reach the highest point of the tour at 720mt. in the vicinity of antennas and repeaters, you descend to the left then to the right in a hazelnut, a short stretch of asphalt and then take the dirt road uphill in places Valgaia, from here begins a long descent to the valley floor and the fraction S.Rocco Rich and Diano d'Alba.
