Trail Description


La salita si effettua quasi interamente su asfalto, si parte da Sanremo e si raggiunge Sanromolo, prima di arrivare all'abitato si svolta a sinistra sulla strada per il monte Ortigana, all'uscita dalla galleria del Brunengo inizia l'unico tratto in salita su sterrato.
Svoltati a destra si prende il sentiero sulla destra che sale, dopo un breve ascesa la traccia si allarga e inizia a scendere un po' sino a congiungersi con una strada sterrata.
Si procede su sterrato sino a raggiungere le vicinanze del borgo di Bajardo.
Da qui si prende la strada panoramica verso il monte Ceppo.
Senza possibilità di errore si arriva all'area attrezzata, da qui ci aspetta un dieci minuti di bicicletta a spinta su sentiero e si raggiunge la cima del monte Ceppo.
Per la discesa procediamo dritti sul sentiero che si tuffa nei prati adiacenti, dopo una breve ma intensa discesa si arriva a un piccolo spizzo erboso, da qui pieghiamo a destra sempre su single track che in breve si inoltra nel bosco.
Il sentiero continua ascendere tra le piante presentendo alcuni passaggi tra rocce molto impegnativi.
Sbuchiamo ora nuovamente sulla strada di salita, passiamo davanti ad un fontana e poco dopo imbocchiamo a destra un altro sentiero.
Nuovamente su asfalto raggiungiamo l'imbocco della strada sterrata, quindi giriamo a sinistra e iniziamo a scendere su sterrato, brevi risalite interrompono per brevi tratti la discesa.
Raggiunto il castagno secolare, circa 1300 anni, presente al passo Fourchè lasciamo la strada principale e pieghiamo a destra su una traccia meno segnata, raggiunto un piccolo valico con vari segnavia lasciamo in sentiero principale per fare una breve deviazione per andare a vedere un vecchia nevaiai.
Tornanti sul percorso lasciato precedentemente affrontiamo una parte di sentiero che presenta passaggi molto impegnativi, poi il sentiero diventa piastrellato di pietre e permette di scendere nella vegetazione sino a raggiungere la località denominata l’Albareto.
Dall’area attrezzata svoltiamo a sinistra su una bella sterrata che ci fa divallare immersi negli ulivi si a raggiungere il paese di Taggia dove seguiamo la SS548 via arginatura sino a raggiungere la ciclabile di ponente, che ci permette di ritornare a Sanremo con estrema facilità.
