Plitvice
Purtroppo non è consentito girare in bicicletta all’interno della zona più turistica dei laghi di Plitvice. La visita fatta a piedi, spostandosi sui trenini o sui battelli elettrici vale sicuramente la pena.
E’ però possibile girare in bici all’esterno, anche se 90% su asfalto a tratti molto malridotto. Km 40, tempo 3 h dislivello circa 600 mt.
Partenza di fronte all’ingresso Sud dei Laghi, sulla statale n. 1 ( E71) verso Nord.
Sul tracciato GPS è registrata una deviazione a destra verso Rastovaca. La strada prosegue sterrata fino a Zaklopaka, ma è meglio saltare questa deviazione e farla in un secondo momento.
Nei pressi di Korana, dopo il ponte, si prende a sinistra la strada 42 verso Poljanak dove si seguirà l’indicazione Plitvica Selo. In questo tratto si possono ben vedere i laghi e le cascate dall’alto e la tentazione di buttarsi giù in single treck è forte. Ma, ripeto, in bici è vietato. Poi la strada si allontana dai laghi per inoltrarsi nella foresta, e descrivendo un largo semicerchio ritorna alla zona sud dei laghi, meno frequentata, fino a Plitvicki Ljeskovac, dove una deviazione a destra porta sulla E71. Confesso di non aver resistito alla tentazione di inoltrarmi per un buon tratto nella zona vietata. Penso che se si arriva fino all’ultima fermata del trenino nessuno se ne accorge.

The GPS track was recorded a detour to the right to Rastovaca. The dirt road continues up to Zaklopaka, but it is better to skip the detour and get it at a later time.
Near Korana, after the bridge, turn left onto the road 42 towards Poljanak where you will follow the indication Plitvica Selo . In this section you can clearly see the lakes and waterfalls from above, and the temptation to jump off in single treck is strong. But, again, by bike is prohibited. Then the road turns away from the lakes for advancing in the forest, and describing a wide semi-circle back to the area south of the lakes, less frequented, until Plitvicki Ljeskovac, where a right turn leads to the E71. I confess to not having resisted the temptation to inoltrarmi for a good stretch in the prohibited zone. I think if you get to the last stop of the train no one notices.
