Trail Description


Verso orario – km 40 – dislivello 1050 m.

Partenza da Gorizia dopo il piazzale Casarossa nei pressi della galleria pedonale Bombi vi è un parcheggio sulla sx.
Dopo aver attraversato Gorizia si sale il Collio su di un comodo sterrato in mezzo al bosco e dopo aver attraversato il valico italosloveno, si sale il Collio sloveno passando in mezzo al paesino di Brestje, si sbuca sulla strada che porta al monte Sabotino e si svolta a sx. Dopo un breve tratto su di un tratturo nel bosco si sbuca sulla strada che porta al monte Korada.
Dopo circa 18,5 km dalla partenza si arriva all'altezza di una casetta con un piccolo cortile e delle panchine in legno, da dove si può ammirare il panorama dell'Isonzo e del paese di Plave. Da qui parte la traccia del single track sulla dx (diff. S2) che scende a Plave. Il primo tratto si svolge su prato per scendere poi in un bel bosco su un fondo compatto e scorrevole, poi il sentiero si fa più tecnico con un fondo molto sconnesso e pietroso, infine si arriva presso di un torrente e, superato il piccolo guado, il sentiero si trasforma in sterrato fino al raggiungimento di Plave.
A Plave, dopo aver attraversato la statale si sale su di una strada asfaltata poco trafficata raggiungendo il borgo di Paljevo e poi su carrareccia in mezzo al bosco ci si immette nella via dei monti Sacri, si cambia versante e si arriva al borgo di Zagomila e dopo circa 2 km si svolta a dx per intraprendere un singletrack (diff. S1/S2) che dopo 3 km sbuca sull'asfalto. L'ultima parte dell'itinerario scende veloce sulla statale, si giunge al paese di Salcano e poi su pista ciclabile si ritorna in Italia attraverso il valico del Rafut.

Clockwise - 40 km - altitude 1,050 m.
Out from Gorizia after the square Casarossa near the pedestrian tunnel Bombi there is parking on the left.
After crossing the salt Gorizia Collio on a convenient dirt road in the woods and after crossing the pass italosloveno, climb the Slovenian Collio passing through the village of Brestje, you will come out on the road that leads to Mount Sabotino and turn left. After a short stretch on a cattle track in the woods you will come out on the road that leads to Mount Korada.
After about 18.5 km from the start you get the height of a house with a small yard and wooden benches, from where you can admire the panorama of the village of Soca and plave. From here the track of the single track on the right (difficulty S2) drops to plave. The first part takes place on the lawn to descend in a beautiful forest on a smooth, compact surfaces, then the path becomes more technical with a very bumpy and rocky, we finally arrive at a stream and, after the small ford, the trail turns into dirt road until reaching plave.
A plave, after crossing the state you climb on a paved road with little traffic reaching the village of Paljevo and then onto the track in the woods you enter the street Sacred mountains, changing the slope and reach the village of Zagomila and after about 2 km turn right to embark on a singletrack (diff. S1 / S2) that emerges after 3 km asphalt. The last part of the route goes down fast on the highway, you reach the village of Salcano on the bike path and then returns to Italy through the pass of Rafut.
