Trail Description

This route makes a large loop in and around the Foret Domaniale du Grand Bois. At the tourist office across the street and you get to the Route 3 up. You pass a campsite and immediately goes uphill: about 4 km continuous climb on a gravel road bridges a height difference of 180 meters, a good warmup so. You are at 580 meters altitude. Once you stay up here on the plateau, past a horse farm of the Univ. De Liege. However, it remains flat and you end up falling back to around 450 meters. Back uphill to Meisenberg (570 meters) and descend back through a bog to the hamlet Commanster. Please note that this descent is quite fast and the pebbles on the path there are slippery. Here and there are pictures with the altitude it; You can judge for yourself if you're doing well. Forest, field and gravel roads take you through Rogery back to Vielsalm (a steep descent on asphalt surface for Vielsalm) and the route is erop.Zowel route 3 and 4 are perfectly signposted. so a card is not really necessary. What struck me was the completely different nature of the routes: Route 4 is characterized by many short, steep climbs, where on route 3 climbs longer, less steep so, but continuously bergop.Voor the freaks: a concatenation of two routes you deliver a good 80 km of pure fun on bike, with lots of variety, good signage and a good to very good rideable trail.
