Trail Description

The Gran Canaria-circumnavigation in the form, as we have on www.bergbiken.de. The following text is taken from the website: The Trail Paradise Gran Canaria is with mountain biking determined no mountain bikers boring: our five-day round, the counterclockwise circling of Maspalomas from the central massif of the Pico de las Nieves and its highlights and peaks again cuts, we explore passports, lookouts, coastal highways, burrs, national parks and mountain towns. Of course, the 1949 m high Pico de las Nieves not missing on our lap, and often we struggle almost from sea level high up in the times barren, sometimes green mountains with its wild and challenging shapes to make a quick trail on the other side with Sea View hinabzurasen. The civilization and the tourist bustle of the island, however, we remain largely remote & ndash in these five days; we show you the lonely corners of Gran Canaria. A total of 220 km and 6500 height meters are on the round overcome - and despite the miles moderately often not too long stages all day be well filled. Day 4 (36 km, 1250 hm) The fourth day is dedicated to the spectacular west coast of Gran Canaria. Here the sloping into the sea cliffs are so steep that even the main road must cling at high altitude because instead of getting lost in the sea. Since it will disturb no mountain bikers, when the first kilometers still goes on asphalt ahead - almost eagerly we look at the branch on the Tirma dirt road back to 500 m below surging sea and the way up winding road with their honking before every turn vehicles . But the Tirma-trail continues uphill: only to nearly 900 m we pass the test, which finally leads us on a steep Camino Real to La Aldea de San Nicolás. This exit is mainly characterized by the loneliness in this area - only the low down in the valley white glowing banana plantations indicate the near civilization, until we receive the hustle and bustle of the small active holiday-village ...
