Trail Description

Starting in the small town of the tour takes us along the signs to the ruins Stockenfels. Here one of the most demanding downhills of the Regensburg region begins to rain down. It goes over root and rock partly in deep channels. A short ferry ride (ferrymen sit in the beer garden opposite, ferry service especially Weekends!) And we turn to along the road towards Stefling. If the Steflinger rain bridge is repaired again, this may (October 2012 locked) can be used alternatively. In Stefling we continue on the road through the yard after rain Eckard Reuth. Soon after this village a steep climb begins on the human error and with 611 m elevation in the region, the Jugenberg. Here we can take one of the longest runs in the region Regensburg, she leads us through root and stone 270 hm down in the small town Dobl. Now we drive initially on forest roads and smaller roads later on Eschlbach, rising Glapfenberg after Grafenwinn. North of Grafenwinn we leave the paved road and turn on gravel forest roads on the ridge to rain. We arrive at the Gailenberg About the Hohenstein / Wackelstein (wiggle short times). Here the left of the away a beautiful vantage point, the Beilstein. The now then downhill is stone and root-penetrated and also a highlight of the region. We get to the aforementioned beer garden and can stop to eat. Finally, we put back on the ferry and still have to take the short climb along the forest path that leads us to the road connecting Teublitz and Nittenau. In this we turn right and drive back to the starting point.
