Das Panorama Plateau der Cisloner Alm bietet atemberaubende Blicke über das südliche Südtiroler Unterland und in die Dolomiti di Brenta - schon deswegen gehört diese Tour ins Standardprogramm jedes Bike-Urlaubers in Kaltern. Doch sie hat viel mehr zu bieten: Da ist zuerst die tolle Auffahrt auf der alten Bahntrasse der Fleimstaler Bahn, man überwindet etwa 800 Höhenmeter bei konstant nicht mehr als sechs Prozent Steigung. Diese Eisenbahnlinie von Auer nach Predazzo wurde im ersten Weltkrieg von russischen Kriegsgefangenen gebaut, um Truppen und Material vom Etschtal ins Fleimstal in Richtung Front zu befördern. Nach dem Krieg transportierte die kleine Bahn überwiegend Holz und Personen, bis sie schließlich in den sechziger Jahren des vorigen Jahrhunderts wegen mangelnder Rentabilität aufgelassen wurde. Was übrig blieb, war die perfekt ausgebaute Trasse, die heute als Schotterstrasse mit dem Titel "ehemalige Fleimstalbahn" oder "ex ferrovia" betitelt hat. Quelle: http://www.kaltern.com

The panoramic plateau of Cisloner Alm offers breathtaking views over the southern Atesina and in the Dolomiti di Brenta - for that reason this tour is part of the standard range each bike holidaymaker in Kaltern. But it has much more to offer: First, there is the great ascent to the old railway line of the Val di Fiemme train, to overcome about 800 meters at constant no more than six percent incline. This railway line from Auer to Predazzo was built during World War I by Russian prisoners of war to carry troops and supplies from the Adige valley Fleimstal towards front. After the war the small railway carried predominantly wooden and people until it was finally abandoned in the sixties of the last century due to lack of profitability. What remained was the perfectly developed route which has dubbed today as gravel road with the title "former Fleimstalbahn" or "ex ferrovia". Source: http://www.kaltern.com
